GoW didn't have Securom protection. 
On the other hand, games like BioShock and Mass Effect which are, in my opinion, classics, will be played for years to come.
Oh, and before you mention it, BioShock's activations might be limitless, but it still goes through Securom's servers.

GoW... what a waste of time and effort. Looks gorgeous, plays like space invaders. Definitely not my cup of tea.

heh, i didn't like the looks of it at all, but i enjoyed the gameplay..somewhat.
took me 3 installs to get into it, though. couldn't play more than 1hr the first two times. the models, the voice acting, the dialogue, everything made me cringe, but after a while i managed to ignore that and focus on the shooting and it became bearable. sort of similar to saints row 2, from that point of view.

Old 1.2 crack works because Startup.exe wasn't updated.

Just finished, clearly it's a overrated game, but not bad. It has a lot of retarded mechanics and just full annoying things. I rate it 8/10
Time for Gears2, I hope it's better.

just got my gfwl key today and I was wondering if I should reinstall GoW since I never got to play online co-op.....someone mind telling me if there are still quite an amount of people playing this game online ? how many are we talking about here.....10 or 200?

minimal, co-op on the PC version sucks shit, there is absolutely no form of communication with your partner so you have no idea what each other is doing.
you pretty much need 3rd party voice chat option. |

i know quite a few people who aren't fond of gears of war just cause how over rated it was, and not really that great to begin with, those same people say they actually liked Gears 2, I might try it once the price goes way the fuck down.
glottis, does it continue the story or anything from the first? |
