Hmm kinda strange then.Hhowever, never drops below 30fps here either! Except for cut-scenes. During cut-scenes fps drops below 25 occasionally... Maybe it is Win7 causing the game to run slower? I'm on Win7 7264. You use the RZR crack as well, right?

Hmm that is really odd. If I enable AA(4X) and transparency the game begins to stutter. I get around 40-50-60FPS, though, but the game is stuttering.

Why in hells name today would you want to bother with transparency AA? are there lots of chain link fences or something that are not sharp in this? Hardly used to behonest by me..

Discovered something really neat.
Enable the action bars in the interface options. I forgot about them but now I was fiddling in the options and noticed that again.
Initially they are invisible (that's why I forgot about them), but you can actually drag stuff onto it. Buildings, shortcuts, etc. You can place the most frequently used stuff on it, like houses, time compression, etc. Now I don't have to keep pressing num-plus to keep the game fast forwarding.

I spotted more german text in one of the missions. I'm in chapter 2, I just hope they don't get severe later on.

Anyone else getting extremely low fps over bigger cities on Windows XP? Seems fine if you zoom in though. Doesn't matter if you turn down the resolution or setting, still lagging like hell.

so its playable , sure, but expect a proper sometime soon (not to mention it could be a lot buggier than original, depending on what build they used for the reviewers .. ) |
hm, am i missing sth here or is this ridiculously easy to verify for anyone having an original copy of the game?
just dumping the original code from memory and doing a byte-wise comparison to the razor crack's code (obviously sparing out the solidshield-protected resp. 'rebuilt' chunks) could readily show if that statement is correct and if any of such watermarks are present (and if they are ubi/solidshield maybe would be grateful for having these pointed out to em ). |
hey, i have an interesting finding here i think...
outta curiosity i had a friend send me a memory dump of the running original game and actually did the above comparison: except for the protected/rebuilt parts the original and the razor crack are bit-by-bit identical. so i'm sorry for ubi/solidhield , but it doesn't seem to stem from some kind of watermarked review copy like proposed by that german guy. i'm actually leaning towards believing the razor crack indeed being a 'full VM rebuild' (and the first 'real' solidshield crack afaik) as stated in their .nfo, but who knows...

My game doesn't run like shit, but there is noticeable stuttering in the peasants, and the cutscenes are brutal. Using the RZR release (only one I see), and running it on XP.

Speaking of trainers - I saw the +4 trainer had an option for 'gold finder'? Anyone know what it does, exactly? The nfo didn't go into detail and I can't test it atm.

The only time I ever use cheats is when I finish the game and want some extra fun.
