Odd, I'm not noticing any fps drops in Win7 with the new crack. UI on = 30fps, UI off = 30fps. Seems to be running great, really.
*edit*
Maybe I spoke too early, I do notice some slowdowns when clicking stuff and such. I got the impression that most people got better fps by turning off the UI however, something that doesn't seem to matter here.

what is this a remembrance post?
I was under the impression that nforce mods/admins didnt take too kindly to the above mentioned by those 2 posters site links or balancing on the edge of almost posting one. I have no idea about what you mentioned, and it does not even fit into this one ayota. |

i dislike the ubersensitivity with even remotely talking about sites where you might find something to do with warez, might as well not mention this forum or google.
i mentioned the pirate bay threads cause it quite obviously mentions the biggest torrent related site on the net with the according amount of warez easely to find, but somehow it was ok to mention that site repeatedly.

Does it really matter what you think? the rules are rules and its your choice wether to visit here or not and obey them.. Its not hard really is it? |

really? I just played the first chapter using the Win 7 crack and it worked fine, I have verything maxed out at 1680 x 1050(Win 7 x86 RC1, E8400 3.8ghz, gtx 285, 4gb DDR2). I didnt notice any lag. Wheres the lag supposed to show. Someone said the UI caused the lag, but for me the performance is same with UI enabled or disabled!

I guess it depends on how fast your cpu is. For me it's also running ok with an i7 @4,2ghz.
Minimum is about 25fps, which is playable but not totally smooth but when looking at fraps numbers I can definitely see how the fps are dropping when more ui elements are open.
Also looking at the taskmanager,my cpu usage triples when turning the ui on. Playing with no UI gives me about double the fps. As mentioned by other people this isn't the case with the retail version so i guess it's a crack problem.

I thought the same at first, but with some more playing I did notice the lag/lowfps. I get the same fps whether my UI is on or off, but if I zoom in and then open UI elements( pressing a building or something ) I can see the fps dropping noticeably.

I did notice that my aero effects gets disabled and I get a warning saying they were disabled because my pc had slowed down. I guess this has something to do with the slowdown!

Found the solution for the save games problem.If anyone has a load failed message ingame follow these steps:
1.Register a new user with administrator rights for your computer and create the account
2.Log in with the created account
3.Go to documents and settings and rename your documents folder to "My Documents"
4.Start the game
5.Problem fixed
This is a solution for now.I was informed that a patch is in works as many have the same problem.Problem only appears to Dutch/French/Russian/Greek/Chinese localized versions of windows and i guess to all non-english language systems.
