Seriously, get a 360 pad. I was using a crappy Logic3 thing for a while but after the recent games that have been released, i realised it was time to buy another 360 piece of gold... well it is like gold for the PC gamer. It is the most compatible pad for windows games. You will not regret it.

360 for charge attacks is shit, though... It's easier even with the keyboard.

Maybe, tbh i haven't played a lot with a 360 pad, but i did think that for the brief time i played that is felt a hell of a lot better than my previous pad. Are you playing with just the keyboard then? Have you tried with a 360 pad?

No, playing with the 360 pad, then when I want to perform a charge move, I pause, use the keyboard, then return to the 360 pad.
I'm thinking of buying an arcade stick for real experience.

Nothing wrong with playing online if you're crap. I'm sure when i tried playing online, people thought they were playing against a 5yo child

After I tested, I think this game is not for me, I prefer games like Tekken; sadly there are no PC version of Tekken.
I used to be a knee like you. Then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

I swear almost every one that plays online picks Sagat and just spams fireballs and when you get close they do the tiger uppercut. Even when successfully hitting them and knocking them to the ground they do a tiger uppercut before you can even block.
Also is it just me or is Abel's throws bugged? When drop kicking he is able to grab a character and throw them when the foot is literally in the middle of his head and takes no damage while doing so. Clearly he was hit before the throw and just doesn't react.

Noob Sagat's are easy to beat. The average turtle Sagat depends on space/zoning and forcing players to run out of patience. His fireballs do barely any damage and are easily avoidable from chipping you. Also his Tiger Uppercut trades hits with A LOT of characters jump in's.
It really depends on which character you use. Sagat is considered God Tire mainly because of his Tiger Uppercut->Focus Cancel->Forward Kick->Ultra, half your bar and really easy to execute.
Also, Abel's throw is fine.

I'm not saying that they players that do so are impossible to beat I am just saying so many players are doing it that its annoying. Everytime someone picks Sagat I just know its coming.
As for Abel's throw I'm certain that there is something wrong with it. Even when I play as him sometimes I can clearly see that I should have been drop kicked right in the face but Abel seems to totally ignore the fact he was hit and he then throws the opponent. I've experimented with it online before my controller broke and I've even had a few other players question why their drop kick didn't hit me.
Perhaps this is meant to be and the move is dodge then throw attack but it certainly doesn't visually look like such.

By drop kick do you mean a Jump in? If that's the case I have no idea what you're talking about, he has two command throws.
1. Is an air grab that pulls you out of the air
2. Is his ground grab
Also the Sagat whoring is to be expected, he's the best character in the game when used properly and EVERYONE is aware of that. To the poster above Gen is difficult to use but his cross up are crazy, sorta like El Fuerte. I personally think Vega is the worst, he does too little damage, receives too much and does not have a reliable anti-air.

How is it that you guys are playing online already? Is there a site I can go to buy the game and grab a legit key to play online?
I mean, playing the computer gets a little tiring.

Geh. Still suffers from good old Street Fighter minimum moves. Ah well, at least they have EX moves.
Also having a blast with Rufus. I'm more of a KoF guy, but didn't really have trouble beating the AI on hard with Rufus. I'm just discovering some neat tricks with the guy and it seems he's only a joke character in looks.
Also Seth isn't cheap. Sure he ports around a lot, but until you face SNK level of cheapness, you know nothing of cheap. lol
Anyway, will probably buy this game off Steam, or just use a G4WL key depending how active online play is.

Its actually quite active. Strangely when I specifically look for a online game there are very little to choose from but the game has a feature where if your in arcade mode a player can pop in at anytime and challenge you. Sort of like someone coming next to you in a arcade and entering in. If I have this feature turned on I simply cannot play arcade at all. I usually never make it one round without getting challenged by another player.

NuclearShadow: Yes this feature was quite annoying. I couldnt do 1 round until some fool challenged me and it was always the guys with the shitty pings.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Sweet. Gonna get it from Steam then.
As for Rufus? I pretty much triangle jump most opponents. Though not against anyone with a shoryuken.
Combos I use, would be
jump df+MP (this is for the triangle jump, mix up between a cross behind of just from the front), LK, HK, qcf qcf + 3P
jump df+MP, HP, QCF + HP then hold forward, follow with a qcf + LP when opponent is cornered, and maybe even cancel into QCF QCF + P
air to air, the jumping HK 2 hits + a well timed dp + PP is pretty much rape, you can also use the qcf qcf + 3P super.
His qcf + PP with the suck in motion is great for punishing whiffs as well. Like if they try to sweep but miss, you can do this to suck em in while they're still in sweep ending animation or recovery.
df+MK seems pretty slick for getting across the screen, dunno how it'll hold against human opponents
Messiah Kick is useful for mind games, but haven't really used it much against the AI since it's kinda useless if they can predict your moves. But should be great for mind games.
Against fireballs, dp + MP allows you to hop over most fireballs and lets you gain meter, though don't do it if the opponent has something to follow it up while you're in mid snake strike hop animation.
Oh also qcf + P seems to negate fireballs but I'm not sure on this since I didn't have many chances with the AI throwing fireballs. If it does, this could be useful mid range to punish fireball spam. Need to look into this later.
f + HP seems to be useful, but the range is a bit short. I need to look into it more.
Other stuff are pokes either to interrupt or punish small mistakes. standing far MP, crouching MK (also cancels into qcf+P), standing far HP is good for poorly timed jumps by the opponent. crouching + HP has also great reach, but a bit of recovery time, and you can get uppercut'd out of it.
That's pretty much it on top of my head.
Oh also Rufus' stomach is so hypnotizing to look at.
Edit: Though I'm still not very familiar with the system. Poking isn't that great as there seems to be some moves that can be done while the opponent is blocking that can hit you while you're poking.
