Very Hard mode is indeed very fucking hard - 1 shot = death Sad
Going to replay again on normal using Ray this time, though I don't think he's going to be as kick ass as Thomas.

I've been playing as Ray and he's badass. I was wondering if the game was much different for each character though. There are some obvious branching paths where you split up that would be different, but what about dialog? The banter between them is funny though.. game is a lot more polished than a couple reviews made it out to be.

Thomas seems much more offensive than Ray is, which is funny because it was supposed to be the exact opposite.

Thomas:
- Dual throwing knives that rape in close quarters, instant kills.
- Bow and arrow with straight trajectory that gives you bullet-time when you zoom in.
- Auto lock target powerup, 1 shot 1 kill with a maximum of 6 kills in one go.

Ray
-Dual pistols BUT you lose your zoom.
-Dynamite BUT you lose your zoom AND other pistol.
- Mouse over target power-up - can waste multiple rounds on one target while mousing over to get to the next one - wastes ammo and unnecessary.

Thomas > Ray imo

How in gods name do u beat the trenches early in the game ? i dont get it.. it reloads so fucking slow and i hit on enemies but they just run and i dont seem to kill the running ones ?? close to uninstall this pos soon.

Game is awesome. Forcing vsync through the nvidia control center is working now. But the ingame sound quality sounds ugly. I checked my sound options in vista control panel but it's on 2 Channel, 24 bits, 192000 Hz (studio quality). Anybody else with this problem and does anyonbody have a solution?

They should be riding up to your windows so that you can take them out, though I too did noticed I sometimes got shot through the whole thing before they were in sight.

I love it. It looks good, the levels are huge and it runs silky smooth. The only thing that's bugging me is the bloom, it's way too bright, gives me headaches and without the bloom it looks strange.

motherfucker , i'm right the very end , didnt bother giving it more tries , cause i felt cheated , up to this point everything was fine , until i saw a motherfuckin soilder carry a machinegun , fuck it , i knew i was gonna see shit like this after playing GUN .

anyway , game is nice , 15 chapters in total , but at first the game is very hollow , no feel to the gameplay , eventually the indian mission (retrieven that amulet thingy) is the best , even the grand canyon ones are nice , engine looks good especially in lightning , sun rays look awesome thorugh trees.

all in all , it's nice but pasable if you've got something better to play.
finishing it in normal takes ~6 hours i guess

I'm not very fast gamer. I'm in 14th chapter now and it definitely took at least 8-9hours up to this point.

9/10 for me too, but I hate the auto covering system, fortunately you can't deactivate it but then you must cover oldschool which doesn't look so good.

The music from the first one was way better, i got a bit disappointed with the tracks from the new game.

I just got to Mexico and so far i'm loving it! The duels are awsome and it's really well optimized.

This one i'm gonna buy! Maybe for xbox as i like the keypad rumble, it adds to the atmosphere. Smile

game is freezing on opening movie like 20 sec in the opening movie.they point the guns at eachother then the game freezes for like 10 sec then kickes me back to desktop. any ideas?

vista home preimum 64bit, gfx card 8800 gtx 768,4gigs ram, 3.17ghz dualcore

!!!update!!! all fixed it was my sound card i had it set to 24bits 96000hz
had to turn it to 24bits 48000hz.

all good now Smile

The music in the open area is really nice. I was just riding around wacking bandits and saving people for money listening to it. Really mellow western movie stuff like Good Bad and the Ugly.

This game is really amazing single player wise. One of the best FPS since HL2 imo.

Along with what I previously mentioned about those configuration (.scr) files there's also a few command-line parameters such as -nologos which might remove logo videos though renaming the actual movie files also work. (They're BIK files.)

Those .pak files can also be opened with Winrar or a similar utility. Smile

EDIT: There's a bunch of MP (EDIT: And SP) maps in Data2.pak with the prefix DLC, might be unlockable if I can find those codes somewhere.

EDIT: Might not be possible after all, nothing in the text files about it.

EDIT: Got it partially working, create a DebugConf.rsc file under Coj2\Data and add the following to it, then access the extra options in the game after applying the launch paramter to a shortcut to the exe (-debugconf=debugconf.rsc)
