I found a way to make the 2.1 patch work. My setup:

- daemon tools lite 4.30.4.27
- YASU 1.6.9040
- X3_Terran_Conflict_RUS_(reduced_MINI_image_xKVtor)
- Windows XP SP2

Do like this:

1. Open an explorer window on my computer so that you can click on the emulated drive.
2. Run X3TC.exe
3. Right after that, keep clicking on the emulated drive on the explorer, trying to open it. You will get error messages. Click ok and keep doing that until the game launches.

Worked for me many times now.

doesnt work, just opens a load of blank windows that tell me its inacessable, then the 'dvd' error comes up

i wish there was a way to load some sort of "playlist" of all your previously used scripts. then i might start playing this game again (i sort of miss it).
But the thought of searching for, and installing, 40+ scripts again.... Bleh. No.
lol, the Oblivion syndrome. Except that has a mod manager + the ability to save mod orders and stuff.

Sadly, I'm having no luck with this method on my Win7 x64. Sad

I don't know and I don't hope so, I only know they removed it for their previous games so I hope do the same with this game.

Amazing support from these developers. They keep patching their games for years, even though they aren't even multiplayer games.

Really hope they'll change the design with their next game though. The whole gate-system is annoying; if they'd implemented a flight model something ala Independence War 2, it'd be heaven. Maybe they could learn some AI/pathfinding stuff from IW2 as well.

15 UK Pounds for Reunion and Terran Conflict as a package on Steam. Weekend deal. Tages still exists, but there's talk of removing it soon. Very tempted, but looks very complicated. :/

Hi Everyone,

X3: Terran Conflict 2.5, RC2 is now ready to download and test. This
should be the final version as long as we don't run into any new major
issues. The 'New Home' mission has been removed from 2.5 due to
issues. It will be in a future update instead.

The patch, bonus packs and information about them remains Level 3. If
you are Level 3 and want to know how to download, follow the
instructions in this thread:
http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=233076

Finally, thank you once again for great work during the Beta and RC
phase.

Cheers,
Owen

Level 3? Is that a smarts ranking?
Level 1 = Dumb-B
Level 2 = Redundan-C (I can install but will never understand this complex game)
Level 3 = I can do updates
Level 4 = I work here
