there are plenty of tools in windows these days to prompt you with a reminder that the beta starts on the 3rd lol. dont be lazy now leave a postit on ur desktop or something.

Yes, the key you get, won't work for both, and since you'll be using the key for a EU account (I assume the keys eurogamer gave out is for the EU beta, since they're a european site and they mention the time in UK time) you'll need to have the EU client, which will connect to the EU servers.
So you'll need to set the region to EU. Else you'll get the NA client which only connects to NA servers. |

Pretty sure most people get what "Serial not yet active" means. Doesn't mean that it's invalid, just not activated. There is no real need for Eurogamer to write about that in the giveaway.

yup keypage requires a us ip (proxy obv) but the download works on any
you gotta make sure that you go into firefox and ie options and disable the proxy though when you're gonna download or else it probably won't work oh and go into the ncsoft launcher options and switch between us/eu to see if that helps.

that's the problem i had but when i went into ie and turned off all proxy options it started to work for me, for some reason my IE had a proxy setup and nothing related to it would work (ie itsself, msn)

There is nothing on the website that says I can visit again to get the key, I'd have to find that by trial and error. Fileplanet always sends an email whenever you join a beta with your key and other information. As do other sites I've gotten keys from. In fact every single site I've ever gotten a beta key from has sent an email with all the information. So yes, they're lazy. Its pretty much industry standard at least through all the sites I've interacted with for the dozens of betas I've been in. They should be aware of the keys not working. I can't imagine that as soon as they got they keys they didn't give a handful to their staff for the beta. They're a gaming site. They'll want people in it to write an article about it. So they should know the keys don't work and should have found out when they will work and put in a note about it. Lastly they should be happy I visited their site. If I didn't have an account I would have had to make one. So no, they're not just giving out codes out of the goodness of their hearts. They're doing it as a promotion to get people to go to their site, and if they don't have accounts to make one. They're a business. Businesses are not your buddy. They want something, we want something, what they gave was done in a sub-par method just like your attempts to excuse them.

Regardless of wherter you could input the key now, or later, it wouldn't change the fact that you have a 99% chance of forgetting about it.
