I know "Chotto"...means sort of a "a little bit" or something like that  .
But this is pretty typical of Japanese TV (believe me I have seen some  ) Wacky wacky game shows/ programs where the participants simply are put in ludicrous situations...in this case I guess it went a tad to far... .
