Oh helllllll yes! One of my all-time favourite genres by far, I'm so backing this and I truly hope they manage to get all the funding they need. It looks and sounds great!

And they let the game itself do all the "talking" in the pitch video. As Starlight Inception now seems like a lost cause, I'm backing this as well. One of these space shoot 'em ups will have to be successful eventually.

Think it looks good myself.
I like that they are including 4 different flight models.
I like that they are making the ships component destructible and being able to be actually broken down to their components.
I like that it has multiplayer and planet landings.
looks like iti has a lot going for it in my eyes.
Backed.

I've just backed the two projects. But it will be hard, I think, to rise the amount they want.

Decided to drop my pledge down to $1 until they decide to give the actual full version of the game at the $15 tier.

At least one of the projects was funded.

Umm, what? The game has ALWAYS been available at the $15 tier. The FAQ states quite clearly that the $15 tier gets the full, non demo, title when it is finished.

~edit~

Oh. Oh that's lame. I just saw what you mean Neutral

Quote:

Standard edition of the game (mentioned in pledge $15 tier) is a FULL VERSION of the game with complete set of features and functionality, excluding video cuts, video intro and some other "beauties for fans" there inside. But we convince you - for $15 you will get absolutely FULL game!

SPECIAL EDITION is the STANDARD EDITION + video intro, multiple video-cuts during the game, and other aesthetic in-game add-ons.

Both versions are equal by their in-game functionality, gameplay features and set of missions in Singleplayer mode.

That's not cool.

I can already see EA, DS and THQ (for now) selling their next games with day 1 Cinematics DLC for 10$ if you don't buy the best editions they offer.

They have canceled Kikcstarter and created a new one.
This time there will be no cinematic cuts in the $15 tier.

Quote:
Thank you for your patience. We've heard your feedback since the launch of the project, laid out a proposal for changes at the round-table on Saturday, and you gave us your approval. We like the new setup, and what's more important - YOU like it. We're eager to make that kind of change!

Unfortunately... we ran it by Kickstarter, and they said no. And they're not wrong to do so! Kickstarter has some firm rules to protect backers from bait-and-switch scenarios and most of them involve not changing things once the project has started. We agreed to those rules when we started the project, and we respect both the rules and Kickstarter's decision. But it does limit what we can do with the existing project.

We're going to close down the current Kickstarter. But don't worry! The game itself has NOT been cancelled and this is a purely technical action on our part. A webpage dies - Skyjacker lives. We are re-launching the Kickstarter for the game as SKYJACKER: Lights in Abyss.
We've learned from our mistakes and everything will be improved from the ground up. Here are the three key points:

The NEW AND IMPROVED REWARDS will be in from day one. The original tiers were confusing, but these aren't just cosmetic changes; at every level you'll get more content for less buy-in.
The time of the project will be a full 60 DAYS. Our pledge goals are aggressive - especially with so many other fine Kickstarter projects going on - and we want to give you time to fit us into your lives.
The Kickstarter itself will be easier to take in at a glance. Less is more! On top of a full rewrite we'll be constantly pushing out new screenshots and vids to keep interest high. We already have a few surprises in store for day one... dramatic pause.

Interest in Skyjacker is on the rise. Your grassroots efforts are steadily bringing more of our fellow gamers and we're starting to receive requests from web portals for interviews. We've asked these journalists to synchronize with our actions so we can launch the new campaign on a wider scale - bigger, better, and prouder. Because it's not just us now that you're here.

We're working on the new page as we speak, but we'll stay in constant contact with you through the comments section and updates as before (true story - you can push an update to a cancelled project) and be available to smooth out rough spots in the transition. And we hope to see you at our new home soon. Stick around - good things are coming over the horizon!
