since the quality of discussions is still not going up again, although some users are constantly banned for varying times. So, who do you think should get a severe talking to and offered the prospect of a perma-ban for too much trolling / flaming?
my eyes are on spiderman and sabin. I actually like both, but what i have seen in the past few weeks is not what the forum needs / deserves. I m talking about singleing out certain users and attacking them over and over again with minor or major insults, spoiling stories of games / movies, trolling, general dicking around and so on.
Any other nominees i should warn about impending doom and hope they see the light of reason so that it does not need to come to the worst?

it s called reverse psychology. I thought it might help, since banning does not seem to phase you and some others anymore. And i m not sure, if a PM from me would have helped either...
But you re right, publically singling out users is not the best way to go about this and i apologize for the "drastic" measures. See this as a frustrated cry for help from the people having to ban you all the time and not feeling like banning you permanently. Tough love, if you will. |

Whatever. Did you even see the reason why I got the LAST lulzban? Or the favouritism surrounding it? The fact that my ban was longer than the guy trolling and insulting in the first place?
Nope, guess not.
So yeah, if you want to single me out - go right ahead. I honestly don't care any more since it seems worthless to argue or try to defend yourself against obvious staff favourites.

i didnt ban you and havent looked into the reasons for your last few bans. But the ones i noticed incidentally looked like you deserved it. That you got the longer time might be because of your prior transgressions, not necessarily because of the matter at hand. Perhaps it is time for some self-reflection and soul-searching about how much you actually like this forum and how you want to contribute to it in the future?
edit: i looked at the last ban and i think it's perfectly fine. There is a reason why we have a "report instead of retort" rule, which might have saved you the last ban or two.

when I returned to this forum after a long absence you made several posts in reply to me that were a bit condescending
it irritated me and I posted several also not so friendly things
but maybe you are unaware of this that when people seem to irritate you or they seem to be an easy victim, you do challenge them
I don't dislike you but yes in this you are a bit of a bully
some alpha males bully and quite often people who have been bullied, bully back to others (victim becomes perpetrator)

Soul searching? About this place? Home of the troll? Um, I'll pass. You're more than welcome to pass the buck onto me, but I am by FAR the least worse of some people on here - people that have been here for far longer yet manage to get away with considerably worse.

as for mod-approved user-bashing: this is the useless void and only the regulars venture here, so you should be in good hands. Also, i m not out to perma-ban ANYBODY, otherwise i would have done so already. This is me trying to talk some sense into the banned-on-a-regular-basis crowd of users.

I think this thread is very unfair for a lot of reasons. Without going into who is right and is not, how would a similar thread stating "this and that mod are abusing their powers" fair? I reckon they will be locked immediately and the user be warned to take it to PM.
As for wgem and spoilers, if you don't want to be spoiled, you don't visit the thread dedicated to the game, movie, etc., it's as simple as that. How dumb do you have to be to expect everyone to shut up and not talk about something they are excited just because didn't get there yet?

no dude, I was talking about people who deliberately come on here and type the ending to a film or game deliberately just to piss others off (which is what spiderman did several times) example he posted in the Shuttter Island thread "this movie sucked , 4/10, -INSERT ENDING HERE-"
As nouseforaname pointed out, it was obvious he was doing it out of spite.
As for not typing spoilers, thats what the spoiler tag is for. Whenever I discuss ANYTHING to do with the story of a game that could potentially spoil, I spoiler tag it. Why cant everyone else?

If he was doing it on purpose whatever -> Hfric, but gets very annoying to have to read a thread like say ME2 thread that is all locked up in spoilers, month after the game is released, just because some noob hasn't played the game -> yet insists on entering a 100 page long thread.

I really dont see the issue man. Its the old case of the guy who goes to the movies for the second time to watch a film hes already seen and he sits there telling you whats coming up next. It really doesnt have a place, and annoys the hell out of me so much.
I do have to work away a lot now, and I only get a couple weeks to catch up on games and movies so Im usually late on shit, and its a pain knowing that when I come here to see the discussions that people dont spoiler tag.

that's a pretty stupid justification for a retard spoiling a movie. most threads have release names / "I fucking loved the movie" rather than the "luke I am your father" type shit.
