And I wouldn't hope that a genious like Scorsese would work with a pompous fucking windbag like Trier.

Great movie. Moderately predictable in some areas but still some good twists and turns. Music was slightly distracting because I got a Matrix vibe from some of the parts (I know this sounds weird but it's not too distracting). Great acting from DiCaprio and the rest of the cast. I suspect some people will think it's too slow moving but I actually prefer a story to move at this pace and build good suspense. I'd call it a 7.5 or 8 out o 10.

Did they spoil much in the trailers (where they showed something like Leo becoming insane himself or so) or is there still more to come?

I don't think the trailer spoiled too much. There's plenty to find out.

Most of the trailer clips were from the first 20 minutes of the movie.
The best thing about this movie is that it is left open for interpretation. And the story, as said, is predictable at times, but at others, my jaw was quite literally open for 10-15 minutes.

I liked this one, even though it did have Leonardo DeCraprio in it. I could kinda tell what the movie was leading too but the depth that it went was pretty damn good! 8.5/10

Now seriously, I don't understand people who say they don't like Di Caprio.
He's a great actor, and the only one I can tell of who didn't play even in one single bad movie, yet played in tones of great ones.

I tried to watch aviator 2 times and just couldn't finish it... and I'm not going to try again. Seems to be not my type of movie Except from that, yes, every movie I saw him in was very good

watching The Aviator I wanted to crawl through the screen and fucking strangle Cate Blanchett, her accent is sooooooo fucking annoying.

Indeed "The Aviator" is probably the most controversial film of his, since it requires a much more certain taste to enjoy, compared to other Scorsese flicks.
As of myslef, I'm fascinated by the psychological aspect of how one can have it all, yet be so fucked up. I liked it more than Taxi Driver for instance.
