I have t220 and it is an amazing monitor. I can only compare it to my old (but still very good HP 19"), and the colors are vibrant, no ghosting, good refresh rate right out of the box, i didnt even mess with any settings. The picture is crystal clear in games or watching HD movies. So i very much recommend it, it is more expensive than other monitors but i think its well worth it. Btw I have 8800 GT and all games run good on 1650 x 1050 even GTA IV.

I second that Very Happy The best monitor I've ever had (not that I had many, but still Very Happy)

Anything samsung will be more than satisfactory. Personally I can't shop for LCD's online or by reviews. I like to see them in person, but when comparing them to all the other LCD's on display, samsung always has the most vibrant colors.

thanks for the awsers guys, ive been using syncmaster CRTS for lots of years and never had a problem with them, had a 15, 17, and my actual 19". Wich is becoming pink Sad. I wanted to ask (to ppl who have an actual experience gaming in them, like us Very Happy ) because in lots of reviews there were probs with "backlight bleeding" "ghosting" etc, etc, and off course having to play at a very high (for single GPU) native rez and not letting all the bells ring Wink

@Krest: the games run good on your 8800GT, read: maxed out settings?

I liked most the 2232BW design but i will choose better performance anytime. Rolling Eyes

Thanks again for the help ppl!

Yeah they run perfectly. Crysis Warhead runs on high/very high mixture with 2x AA on full resolution with above 30 fps most of the time. GTA IV also runs good with edited exe so that i could use high texture quality. COD 4 and WaW run everything on max including AA and filtering.
And i seriously havent noticed backlight bleeding, even on start up, it might be there but i never looked for it and thats good enough for me. Games look crisp, especially HL2 games like css and others, its like they look completely different from my previous monitor which was also very high quality but 5:4. Black and white contrast is incredible, where before i had trouble with seeing stuff when the brightness was low, i had to turn it way up to the point where it became very washed up looking, no such troubles on t220, even when i turn up the brightness colors dont looked washed up, they just look brighter.
Also t220 is very elegant looking monitor, with the buttons hidden, and the powerup button is integrated into the design, if there was no picture of the power icon you would never know that its the power button.
I think samsung is quality, so you cant go wrong with any of their products, i was also looking at 2232BW before seeing that local costco had t220 for $250, so i went for it and never looked back. I see monitor as a long time investment so I didnt want to save 30 dollars just to regret it later.

DOes anyone known if the "random panel problem" exists on the T220 also?

It seems that by lack of material samsung subcontracted other companies to make just some of the panels, and so your minitor can have a panel built from 4 diferent sources, there are reposrts that the one made by samsung is the best quality, and some of the others have extreme blue tint, or bleeding, whatever, u can see wich is yours doing this (If this menu still appears) Smile

I have 5 LCD's in the house from various companies ranging from HP, Dell, and viewsonic. Nothing comes close to how good my Samsung looks. Everyone that comes in my office for the first time and sees the display in action comments on how clear and vibrant it is. i do digital photo retouching for a living along with digital art and have to rely on great color sharpness and reproduction. I haven't been sorry with this Samsung. It plays games great as well.

I own the 24 inch model by the way.

Big_Gun: guess your Samsung is the T220?

thanks, seems nice enough but for my taste 1920x1200 is a bit overkill (for games not for some lines of work)
