Quote: | Currently in development for the Xbox 360 and PC systems, POSTAL III will employ the Source engine (the same technology Valve® created to drive Half-Life® 2) to deliver a new and advanced technical level of social satire and politically incorrect virtual violence. |
Quote: | POSTAL III will include motion-captured performances by a wide array of celebrities – from film stars to Playboy Playmates – as well as a storyline that offers gamers vast latitude in terms of their behavior. |

And the fun allready begun
Quote: | Dear Mr Newell,
I am writing to you in order to express my utter disgust and indignation that Postal III is set to be released on the Source engine on PC and Xbox360. In case you didn't know, the 'game', which will include motion-captured performances by a wide array of celebrities, is the latest in a series which has so far delivered most disgusting, depraved, murderous, brutal and shocking torrent of filth, smut and violence that I have ever experienced. Indeed, Andrew Belkin, one of the perpetrators of this vile crime against decency, has stated that "POSTAL III will be the sickest and craziest game ever!"
You may read more on the matter here. Quite how you can justify allowing these psychopaths to use your eminently respectable 3D engine to further corrupt the minds of our children, I have no idea. I hope you are proud of yourself.
Sincerely, J. P. Tadfield, Chairman of Parents Against Postal |
LOL, parents against Postal.... bet is't running with scissors themselves who wrote this

Perhaps it will be fun, I just hope they correct some mistakes they did in Postal2. Like the loading zones being so damn small, but it doesn't look like it now that they are using Source.
Of course Source gets updated, but it was lagging behind from the start.

Only thing I hate about the postal team is the choice to use Uwe Boll as the upcoming film director...

Let's make this clear... RWS do not give a fuck about the Postal Movie. They're using Uwe Boll for money.

Maybe - but maybe not. But a movie like Postal even U.Boll can't fail...there is no need for any deep story..just mindless voilence.

If I remember correctly it was using UE2x, which was not that old when Postal was released (2003).
But it is obvious Running With Crap couldn't take advantage of the engine for two tossin' bullfucks. Small maps, long loading zones, graphically it was more ugly than your grandma's ass, etc. Postal was brilliant, Postal2 was just horrific!

Developed by one of Akella's own crappy shops. Believe me, it will suck big time. Even if it's U3 or Source 2 or whatever.

Doesn't look anything special, but then again it's Source after all. Funny interview though.
