Quote:
Currently in development for the Xbox 360 and PC systems, POSTAL III will employ the Source engine (the same technology Valve® created to drive Half-Life® 2) to deliver a new and advanced technical level of social satire and politically incorrect virtual violence.

Quote:
POSTAL III will include motion-captured performances by a wide array of celebrities – from film stars to Playboy Playmates – as well as a storyline that offers gamers vast latitude in terms of their behavior.

And the fun allready begun Very Happy

Quote:
Dear Mr Newell,

I am writing to you in order to express my utter disgust and indignation that Postal III is set to be released on the Source engine on PC and Xbox360. In case you didn't know, the 'game', which will include motion-captured performances by a wide array of celebrities, is the latest in a series which has so far delivered most disgusting, depraved, murderous, brutal and shocking torrent of filth, smut and violence that I have ever experienced. Indeed, Andrew Belkin, one of the perpetrators of this vile crime against decency, has stated that "POSTAL III will be the sickest and craziest game ever!"

You may read more on the matter here. Quite how you can justify allowing these psychopaths to use your eminently respectable 3D engine to further corrupt the minds of our children, I have no idea. I hope you are proud of yourself.

Sincerely, J. P. Tadfield, Chairman of Parents Against Postal

PaP will probably be one of those evil groups in the game now...

Nothing against the game and it was quite fun if you wanted to just blow some shit up or similar.

Perhaps it will be fun, I just hope they correct some mistakes they did in Postal2. Like the loading zones being so damn small, but it doesn't look like it now that they are using Source.

Of course Source gets updated, but it was lagging behind from the start.

Only thing I hate about the postal team is the choice to use Uwe Boll as the upcoming film director...

Actually I think those 2 fit pefectly well Very Happy Uwe Boll is huge nerd that doesn't give shit about what people think about his movies. He may not be able to do good movies but u can see he does put a lot of heart into them, and somehow I get the feeling that his directing styles he showed in his previous movies perfectly fit the style of the postal games. The movie may end up a bit cheap, but I'm sure he's gonna do a good interpretation of what postal series are about.

Just imagine david fincher doing postal movie Rolling Eyes

Maybe - but maybe not. But a movie like Postal even U.Boll can't fail...there is no need for any deep story..just mindless voilence.

Aye, but in bloodrayne he tried to do a story (and failed) in Postal there is no need for a story imo

It has also been revealed that the Postal 3 video game will not be based on the Unreal engine like its predecessor. The new engine that shall power Postal 3 is Valve's Source engine, the same engine that powered Half-Life 2.

Yep, I tought wrong.

If I remember correctly it was using UE2x, which was not that old when Postal was released (2003).

But it is obvious Running With Crap couldn't take advantage of the engine for two tossin' bullfucks. Small maps, long loading zones, graphically it was more ugly than your grandma's ass, etc. Postal was brilliant, Postal2 was just horrific!

Developed by one of Akella's own crappy shops. Believe me, it will suck big time. Even if it's U3 or Source 2 or whatever.
