dont have old pics, started with a 286 from the workplace of my dad, then a 386 and a 486 dx2, going through p1 60mhz,p1 166mhz + voodoo1. to celeron 333mhz, athlon xp stuff with the first geforce 256 and a gf2 pro as well as a gf4 4400, followed by core2duo with an unlockable 6600 or whatever it was, then a 8800gts,core2quad and gtx 260,gtx 570,gtx 770,to xeon now and the 1070. got a cd burner very early, that helped kinda to get games ^^ think the first tft must be around 2006, magic times

*Joins the turtlemania train*
I still have a giant box in the attic full of turtles from different generations (including the specific ones released with the movies), I was so addicted to them that I would spend all the birthday money on toys with no regrets at all. If the Ninja Turtles hadn't existed I'd probably be rich now :'(
On topic, my setup history is somewhat similar to Janz's: if my memory doesn't fail me I actually started on the 386, then hopped in the Pentium 133Mhz + Voodoo 1, followed by the Pentium 2 300Mhz + Voodoo 2, ...[dark times]... jump to Pentium 4 2400Mhz + Geforce Ti4400 (later replaced by the Radeon 9800pro), big jump to the Core2Duo e6600 + 8800GTX (I spared no expense, blame Crysis), the GTX obviously took fire but the warranty thankfully granted me an Ati 4870. Then Rage arrived and killed the 4870 too so I eventually did the full upgrade to the mighty i5 2500k (which I still have ) + GTX 570 (replaced by my current 970).

Corsair PSU... Those never fail! Bought an all new pc a year ago (gpu bought in nov).
Only old thing that I still kept in the rig? My 2007 620W Corsair PSU. Still working flawlessly.
Had to get REALLY creative to get two 8-pin PCIe to power the 5600XT with the 6-pin ones, though |
Its definitely a solid PSU. I had to eventually upgrade because I put in dual overclocked GTX 480s in my rig and the PSU fan would go nuts because the load was so high

That's difficult, it varies a lot but Vordhosbn, Rhubarb and Polynomial C are some of my absolute favorites.

Since I'm more into classic substractive synths and digital 80s workhorses, I can attest that the more melodic Aphex stuff like Donkey Rhubarb, Avril 14th, Alberto Balsalm, Flim and Windowlicker are my jam. Selected Ambient Works I and II are a must as well.
