Poltergeist (2015) - 7.5/10

For a movie rated 4.9 on imdb I expected the worst but in the end it was a positive surprise

Until Dawn - 6/10.
Bummer, this could easily have been a better movie. It didn't tie into the game like at all (except one minor detail in the ending), but I honestly didn't mind.

It has nice gore, some jumpscares, the different horror elements are done nicely. it was only missing some random tits to be great. Reminded me of Cabin in the Woods in some cases, in a good way. However they completely failed to tie any of that together, the ending gives you nothing. Was it a dream? A metaphor? Did it really happen? Basically they just threw stuff at the wall and see what stuck and didn't ever bother explaining.

M3GAN 2.0
Surprisingly fun movie, 8/10. I did not expect to like it this much.
It takes a slightly different route to the first one, less horror, more action. Similar to Terminator 1/2 or Alien 1/2.
Sure, it's super campy and cheesy, but overall a very enjoyable movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, for the better.

Predator: Australia - brainless popcorn flick/10
It's mindless action flick with retarded Predator (he look like this 'caus he born bad) and Stitch from that other Disney franchise. It's ok time waster you will enjoy or butthurt over dead and raped franchise.

The Running Man 2025 - 7/10

Nowhere as bad as expected. The ending let the movie down though. I guess the budget was done and they couldn't film something more elaborate.

A House of Dynamite - 6/10

It's essentially the modern Netflixian version of Fail Safe, with all that it entails. Bigelow tried to shift the focus towards the personal stories rather than the event itself (not a bad idea on paper), but in doing so the movie lost all its momentum and became unnecessarily redundant due to the chapter-like structure.

One Battle After Another - What time is it /10

I was having relatively high hopes for this one, being a PTA movie with an alluring cast, but alas, it all crumbled under the weight of a clumsy green pear trying to mimic other (better) formulae without the cleverness and charm necessary for the task. Although the cinematography is as solid as expected and the idea of presenting the polarized 'Murican system under a satirical light is potentially interesting, the weak story with its awkward over-acting and cartoonish moments didn't really work for me.

The Rocketeer (1991) - 7/10

Fun adventure, better than 'superhero' movies today.

Cinderella Man (2005) - 10/10

Wow fantastic. True story as well.

A Perfect Murder (1998) - 7/10

Weirdo story.

Resurrection Road - 7/10

Cool vampire movie, also Michael Madsen.

That movie was a 4/10 for me at the most. It's a 9/10 in the first 25 minutes, then they realized that didn't have a script that went any further and just filmed the same stuff again. The different angles don't provide any meaningful new insights or character reveals. Neither are things framed differently nor is there any real reveal to a different background or understanding to what is going on. Basically once you've seen the first act there is nothing new coming.

It (2017) it's a solid 7.5/10. I think this is a case where less effects could have been better sometimes.

Deathstalker (2025) - 7/10
It's cheese, it's camp, it's b-movie galore. Out of hands from The Void (which I hate) and Psycho Goreman (which I liked) director comes this homage to 80s b-movies and remake of original Deathstalker. If you like original Evil Dead or rather Army of Darkness this might be your jam.
Although theres some cons it's not on par with Raimis' movies, the adlib is awful, and the last act kinda falls flat but I enjoyed it.

Red Sonja - 4/10
When we are at remakes of old barbarian/fantasy movies. This had some budget and a few known faces but is rather dull and unremarkable. Felt very generic.

I liked it.. the first time I watched it. The second time? All the flaws that I didn't notice became very noticeable and made me stop watching.

"I hate" which is maybe too powerful word. I hate the hype around it - it's great in terms of practical effects but there is little plot really just a cult that opens a doorway to some eldritch god/dimension. There is no background to it - it just happens and the main protagonist is in it.
Technically awesome, plot wise not so much.

The Void was great as in B-movie great. Cosmic horror made it quite interesting and some scenes felt good, had Oomph. Second viewing a few years later... stitches and seams started to appear. Not great not terrible. One movie which shared the cosmic horror element but didn't dissapoint on second viewing: https://www.imdb.com/es/title/tt3986820/

Companion - 8/10
Trailer spoils the movie, better to watch it as-is. It's worth it (and it's fun) Very Happy

Bagdad Café - 7/10
The first two thirds of the movie were excellent, something something quirky eighties warmth fuzzy feeling something... great! Last third made it more down to earth and predictable. Soundtrack is legendary Crying or Very sad

Frankenstein 6/10
Obviously well made, but yet another retelling that added nothing new or original to this overdone story

One Battle After Another 6/10
Very disappointing Sad way too caricaturist, but somehow also void of humor apart from a few scenes. Sean Penn is great though.

Bugonia 7.5/10
Not much of a black comedy, imo (apart from the ending Laughing ), but very good nonetheless.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
