Poltergeist (2015) - 7.5/10
For a movie rated 4.9 on imdb I expected the worst but in the end it was a positive surprise

Until Dawn - 6/10.
Bummer, this could easily have been a better movie. It didn't tie into the game like at all (except one minor detail in the ending), but I honestly didn't mind.
It has nice gore, some jumpscares, the different horror elements are done nicely. it was only missing some random tits to be great. Reminded me of Cabin in the Woods in some cases, in a good way. However they completely failed to tie any of that together, the ending gives you nothing. Was it a dream? A metaphor? Did it really happen? Basically they just threw stuff at the wall and see what stuck and didn't ever bother explaining.

M3GAN 2.0
Surprisingly fun movie, 8/10. I did not expect to like it this much.
It takes a slightly different route to the first one, less horror, more action. Similar to Terminator 1/2 or Alien 1/2.
Sure, it's super campy and cheesy, but overall a very enjoyable movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, for the better.

Red Planet (2000) - 5/10
The Matrix chick and Tom Sizmore sci-fi which is a plus.

Predator: Australia - brainless popcorn flick/10
It's mindless action flick with retarded Predator (he look like this 'caus he born bad) and Stitch from that other Disney franchise. It's ok time waster you will enjoy or butthurt over dead and raped franchise.

The Running Man 2025 - 7/10
Nowhere as bad as expected. The ending let the movie down though. I guess the budget was done and they couldn't film something more elaborate.

A House of Dynamite - 6/10
It's essentially the modern Netflixian version of Fail Safe, with all that it entails. Bigelow tried to shift the focus towards the personal stories rather than the event itself (not a bad idea on paper), but in doing so the movie lost all its momentum and became unnecessarily redundant due to the chapter-like structure.
One Battle After Another - What time is it /10
I was having relatively high hopes for this one, being a PTA movie with an alluring cast, but alas, it all crumbled under the weight of a clumsy green pear trying to mimic other (better) formulae without the cleverness and charm necessary for the task. Although the cinematography is as solid as expected and the idea of presenting the polarized 'Murican system under a satirical light is potentially interesting, the weak story with its awkward over-acting and cartoonish moments didn't really work for me.

That movie was a 4/10 for me at the most. It's a 9/10 in the first 25 minutes, then they realized that didn't have a script that went any further and just filmed the same stuff again. The different angles don't provide any meaningful new insights or character reveals. Neither are things framed differently nor is there any real reveal to a different background or understanding to what is going on. Basically once you've seen the first act there is nothing new coming.
