The "adjustments" will be about content which isn't in the original version anyway. So there's no difference compared to the original in terms of missing/changing something.

TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

What bigotry I'd ask but that's probably super sensitive.

Well what do I know. Going by forum reactions it's quite the uproar around how it was handled.

EDIT: On a similar note the crossdresser in Yakuza 3 seems to be gone in the re-release but that was something the original author seem to have regretted and how it was handled for comedic effect or something like that.

Doesn't seem like Catherine Full Body is doing it for comedic effect but this edition doesn't contain these changes and the new character.

That's not what the ending is about. The character identifies as a woman, not a "comfortabl[e] gay [man]", as you say. https://twitter.com/JavierMetico/status/1096801864782413824

TL;DR The bugs keeping camera and animations at 30fps have been fixed. However, the boss models and Rapunzel still need a bit more work. We expect to have these fixed in in the next patch.

• Y Camera Axis fixed in boss stages
• Japanese in game audio selection now changes effects to JP
• Numlock no longer aggressively forced
• Steam icons cached : will not change to Xbox 360 icons when game is out of focus when using PS4/Steam controller
• Tutorials now use correct pad type display
• Mouse cursor updated from live position
• Cutscene cameras now interpolate between logic frames
• Puzzle cameras now interpolate between logic frames
• Characters now interpolate movement and animations between logic frames

• Audio sink for WMV playback consistent with game device selection
• Config option AUDIOFOCUS added to ini file, set to 1 to keep game audio when game is not in focus
• Scores are validated as being possible before allowing them to display on the leaderboards
• Pause now shows on screen when paused
• Adjusted timings for the sheep on the title screen to be consistent across languages
• Fixed mouse select for questions
• Fixed blurred cutscenes

Some more framerate fixes in the newest beta patch: https://steamcommunity.com/app/893180/discussions/0/1795152172917812510/

Quote:
• Stray Sheep camera adjusted for free FPS
• Stray Sheep NPC timers adjusted for free FPS
• Middle floor Camera adjusted for free FPS
• Gamepad icons preserved from last valid controller when no Steam controller valid
• Initial Cube drop velocity scaled for FPS
• Drop pattern timing at 30hz interval when at free FPS
• Fix for leader board result rejection with questions
• Adjusted collision radius on character on middle floor to avoid being trapped on pews

From reports, it sounds like it's good to go now.

Almost finished this, I only have to do what seems the final challenge left.

Ok game, but man oh man are these cutscenes looong, and with the usual Japanese weirdness that makes you wonder how well they have been translated, or what the hell you are missing. Take the one with the ants for example! WTF

Would be nice to know the language at some point and compare, I do have a feeling they have to change the localization more often than not since the language barrier and the English and Japanese writing and text would not really work if translated as-is without having a more proper or natural flow though sometimes some other changes are worked in occasionally for the better (XSeed is getting a lot of praise but it's probably very different from the original.) and sometimes they change or remove or add stuff for whatever reason. (Hello NISA.)

This? Well I think they're probably not too bad but it's probably not the best either and there's probably been some changes though it might make the conversations and other text feel more natural overall than the wooden stiff stuff you would get trying to keep a literal text translation and only change it minimally.

And the endless thing on should the honorifics stay or go, personally I kinda like them but eh grew up with he...anime so got used to them from that. Razz

After having read some visual novels, the litteral translations are passable, but feel a bit weird. You often find official works change quite a lot of dialogue to make it more witty, give it more oomph etcetc. They can even go as far as to change personalities for characters. I never understood why they bother, especially when we hear the original words and phrases clear as day.

I didn't/never got into the game, something about platforming and puzzles sort of puts me off However I've always liked the music in Catherine. 'It's a golden show'. Shoji Meguro is class Very Happy
