But at least STEAMPUNKS are one of the few Active groups that actually have the skills to crack The 'D'...

I really want RLD enterning the 'D' field.. But sadly that doesn't happen Sad

I'm still not sure at all to try one of their releases, as something feels strange about them.
And also how fast they are releasing several games now.

Funnily i never felt that kind of suspicion with any other newcomer releaser.

Regarding performance, my lowest FPS was in the snow environment.
Using the i5 4690k @4.5ghz and the r9 390 (equivalent to a 970), this is the performance I got on the legit game (same patch version as cracked):
Ultra preset: 48fps
Ultra preset, but reduced anti-aliasing to 4x8q: 58fps
Ultra preset, but reduced anti-aliasing to 4x: 61fps
Medium preset: 87fps
Lowest preset: 110fps (limited by CPU)

The Ultra preset doesn't fully maxes out the graphic settings (shadow and geometry remain one step below max, AA can go higher). For performance sake, I think the best pick is the Ultra preset and reducing AA from 4x16q to 4x8q.

@Kanint
Can you upload a savegame where you have problematic FPS?

Just out of interest i want to see how the my PC combo performs in comparison.

It wasn't significantly lower than my other parks, but it was a few fps (60 compared to 63-65 maybe) lower than other zones. With the ultra preset, reduced AA to 4x8q, and zoomed out to see the park as a whole, I get 60fps on this one: https://www.mediafire.com/?g7a4t3pfegtxokw

For me, the saves were in: C:\Users\*user*\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster\*bunch of numbers*\Saves

Thanks, will try it out - after the game downloaded. Very Happy

// Okay tested with Ultra preset on FullHD and nothing else changed.
Lowest i managed to get was 67 FPS. Average on your savegame is ~75fps, with sometimes up to ~100fps.

But my GPU is used with 99%, while the CPU only up to 40%.

So i guess it's time to upgrade the 970 oldtimer. grinhurt

The game is good but I struggle to enjoy it like rollercoaster tycoon.

The game seems to be built around reducing your profits at all times, there is no clear way to make an impact on the game, it has a mind of its own.

The game also doesn't make much sense to me, everyone hates the carousel even if I decorate it, people pay $15 for one ride and fill the queue, I increase it to $30 and they still fill the queue. Shops are crazy unprofitable and barely get used, handling security is a nightmare, why is everyone constantly pickpocketing? where is this game set?

I even cheated and gave myself 60 grand and found even making a great park and being really efficient with monthly costs it just wasn't that profitable.

Then again.. maybe I'm just bad!

All I really want is rollercoaster tycoon gameplay with graphics, paths etc like planet coaster.

I agree, the game lacks "fun". It has amazing tools to create a custom park, to create amazing roller coasters and custom decorations. And the Steam Workshop implementation is glorious. But it's lacking a "game". The developers have been releasing a lot of free updates, so *hopefully* they eventually overhaul the career mode. But I'm not currently holding my breath over it, especially after the poor implementation of the security guard/thieves system.

The game has buggy algorithms for stores I found. I remember placing a single drink stand and people didn't buy from it at all. Then I placed another one (same store) a little bit further along the same path (I was going to demolish the old one to make space for something else) and suddenly that one sold crazy - all with identical settings.

Based on its size compared to the original release, I'm assuming this is standalone?

Not bad, but if your expecting to get down and dirty with the nitty gritty details, then Parkitect is the better option. This is not really a 'simulation', but rather a 'showcase' of ones work, in which it does that very well, and awesome looking to boot, if you have the hardware Wink

Poorly done, I hated it after the novelty of the fancy rides and graphics wore off.

Rollercoaster tycoon 1&2 is still way better.

damn that's too bad.

I was looking at it a while ago and it seemed too shallow and easy in the management aspect (which is what I'm interested in most) but I was hoping that would change (or that I would just be wrong)
