Getting it now, but I suspect it will go in the bin...sooner then later.

Most of UE3 games suffer great performance loss when AA is enabled (and usually many 3D objects still remain aliased). I guess that's one of the reasons why AA support in UE3 games has always been a taboo.

Definitely a good idea.. there are a lot of references and easter eggs in the game, and you'll pic up on them after the movies are fresh in your mind.

Didn't Terminal Reality develop a new engine? I don't think this one uses UE3.

It's Terminal Reality's proprietary in-house "Infernal Engine." It's not based on any other engine.

EDIT: And I'm installing from one drive to another.
50 mins, give or take a few to install. |
I remember installing Vista Ulitmate for the first time and unraring something.......took way longer than XP SP2. If you do some digging on the net you may find something stating M$ screwed up on the SATA/IDE in Vista. Not sure though. All I know is that I went to Windows 7 and it's noticeably faster. I always thought SP1 for Vista addressed the SATA/IDE problem. I guess not.

Try that.

Ok just tried. Performance is a little erratic (as already mentioned by others). Renaming exe to UT3.exe does infact enable antialiasing (with nvidia at least). Mouse+kb controls are clunky but with 360 controller they are great.

The game is great and funny!! I remember seeing Ghostbusters on opening day in the theater!! This really is the 3rd movie! I am so impressed and having so much fun. The graphics are fantastic and I am able to play with everything turned up with a chop once in a while. I can play for minutes without any chop and then a small one pops in for no reason. Ok, now the bad...the mouse control is so bad it's almost, almost unplayable. The rest of the game is so good I am dealing with it. I pray for a patch. The Alhambra Room was sweet! Great game, with a fixed mouse it's easily a 9 out of 10.
