I don't care for fuel economy mainly because numbers play a big role in swaying people who don't put a second of thought into anything.
Besides that the difference for me driving a car I enjoy and getting 18MPG vs driving a econo box shit mobile that has trouble making it up a hill is $600 annually in fuel costs. Take that as the price you pay for a more enjoyable car.
What especially bothers me are Prius owners. It'll take a decade for them to make up the difference they spent in purchasing the car through money saved on fuel not to mention the $3000 battery replacement that comes along in the cars life time.

Fuel Consumption
I couldn't care less if my care is a piece of shit or not as long as it gets me where I'm going with minimum cost, you're not gonna go from home to walmart with a ferrari at 200KM/h anyway

Agreed completely, especially in dense urban environments, where performance cars are total waste.

Its nice to have a bit of performance though. Quick acceleration at times is a good thing. I voted looks because that would be the top priority for me. The mindset i based that on was if i was buying a new car now.

No choice either for price/value ... there are many things that all have to be considered together, and all are dictated by the amount you're willing to spend.
asus z170-A || core i5-6600K || geforce gtx 970 4gb || 16gb ddr4 ram || win10 || 1080p led samsung 27"

Sure, but having a Porsche or a Ferrari in a dense city, where all you have is traffic jams, is a bit silly, would you not agree?

True, but just because you live in that city, does'nt mean that would be the only area in which you drive.
Personally i wouldn't own a Porsche or a Ferrari even if i could afford one. The costs in fuel and repairs, drive 10 miles and fill up the tank again, special tools to do simple things like change the brake pads.. The list could go on and plus i prefer more Japanese motor sport type cars.

absolutely , but when buying a car you gotta think about some things , like parts and maintanance costs and so on ..
but for any car i think there is a reason behind it , maybe even the brand would propell a potantial buyer into giving in , like an Audi A5 , the brand , the looks and whatnot are determining factors for some.
but if i had some serious money and actually could afford a good car i'd buy something with great handling rather than some exotic or muscle crap piece of crap , Porsche probably , engines arent that big (Cayman has a 2.7 liter engine) and are really reliable .
but thenagain for right now , with crowded cities it's best to have 2 cars , something small cheap but realiable (like an Toyota Aygo ) and something for enjoyment or trips or something sporty for the weekends.
right now , if i had the doe
Toyota Aygo or Mini Cooper S
Range Rover Sport or Porsche Cayman

You should have purpose/function on the list. Your choice will be determined by it's purpose, if it's for long distance commuting then clearly MPG is going to be your primary concern, if you're going to be towing heavy loads or driving in rough terrain then maybe not.

Yes, it's also painful watching them going over speed bumps - but I can understand why they own them. A performance car is an aspirational thing, and it's not as if they can't take it to the track and let loose.

1. Price (nobody mentioned it? everyone loaded around here huh? or is it too obvious?)
2. Performance / handling (handling is clearly a part of the cars overall performance)
3. Looks

Depends. I drive my 911 to the office everyday. Calgary has quite bad traffic, but driving a Porsche is not always about performance handling etc. Its a dream car to drive even if your just crawling through traffic. Most cities also have track days where you can really open it up in a closed safe environment.
