can you still play around in the open world, after you beat the singleplayer campaign? |
Yes. It also resets all the Guerilla Actions, so you can do those again. It also increases the difficulty in all sectors, for example, you'll be fighting Heavy EDF troops with Gauss Rifles in Parker.
Does anyone know where you find the Singularity Bombs?

other than the destructible environment, this game reminds me of Far cry 2 for some reason. I havent done any missions but I have running around kicking the butt of the civilians and the red faction with the hammer and the trucks!!!

Red Faction Guerilla exceeded my expectations.
One of the best games this year so far for me.
It's just really great how the whole destructible environments thing isn't just a gimmick to play around with a little on the side, it really impacts the way you play the game a lot.
Like.. it removes the traditional borders in videogames. For example, you got a vehicle and need to get out of a base, but there's a wall around it with the entrance beeing guarded. Normally you'd go to the entrance, but in red faction 3 you just drive right through the wall!
Took me some time to get used to that, as in every other game you have to look for the way the developers made for you. In red faction you can make your own.
ps: they should make mercenaries 3 with this engine!

I've been playing for quite some time now and I can also say it's pretty good, much better than i first expected.
Though, what i dont like is the time you spend driving to get to the action and the constant need to return to the safehouse for ammo.
You can warp to safehouses, but only if your alert level is green. And to get it green, you often have to drive to a safehouse...not exactly useful.
I'm just wondering, since there are always guerillas supporting me as soon as i attack, why can't one of them get me some ammo?
Anyway, I'm still missing a jetpack. Someone knows how or when you get that?

unlocks about 2/3 through the game - but it isn't that useful, you only get maybe 5m high. still, better than nothing.

Guy who reads your handbook sounds suspiciously like the crackdown guy , just with a less melodramatic voice
I'm enjoying it so far but only in short bursts , Jumped in the small speedy buggy today , put 5 explosives on it and drove full pelt up a hill into a medium target edf chimney . Unfortunately my momentum killed me when I bailed out but I took out the target

Yes sure, but you can only use them once, can't you? And you don't get full ammo.
I haven't checked when exactly you can use them again, though.
Another thing i was wondering about:
Can you repair vehicles? Or keep them? I mean is there something like a garage in gta 4?
Would be nice to have one of those mechs at the safehouse.

I'm disappointed that they lied when they said you can destroy anything man-made. I've run across a couple of structures that can't be destroyed, as well as bridges, and a whole multiplayer map.

I didn't try MP, but I can destroy anything I see except the planet itself. Maybe there are some key strucures you're not supposed to destroy, like bridges you always need to cross a ravine or something. What exactly can't you destroy?

I think he's being an arse, it probably looks man-made but in fact is actually a natural rock formation that is being used in some capacity.
Remember you can rebuild anything in multi-player, so there is no need to limit the destructibility.
