I hope you crash - in case you do, I'd like to hear your views on wearing the seatbelt.

I thought having the headlights on all the time was pretty much a law in every decent country. I see no problem with it.

Edit: You don't even need to drive fast without the seatbelt to get major injuries or even die. So tell me, why is this law so bad? Does it really take THAT long to put the belt on? Are you really that lazy? Would you let your kids sit in the back without seatbelts?

Would you be equally enthusiastic about a law that prohibited you from using sharp objects, or leaving your house, or forced you to wear a helmet at all times? It's not about what's safe and what's not, it's about being treated like a fucking CHILD (and I would force my kids to wear seatbelts.. because they ARE children..) when you're not endengering anyone but yourself. I'm all for wearing seatbelts, but I don't like being forced to! So what if a numer of idiots are killed because of their stupidity every year.. good for the gene pool I say!
This does not apply to speeding limits ofc, since you're endangering the lives of others when you're speeding.

Well, first of all your not allowed to wear "sharp objects" in public. Thats a law im happy about. Secondly, its a difference between leaving your house or driving a 1000kg car in 60-100km/h.
I dont know why the hell you get stuck in the "being forced to" part. You sound just stupid when you use that as an argument.
So far you only need helmet if your young and on a bike or driving a mc. Thats something im all okey with. IF there had been a law forcing you to wear helmet when not in control of a vehicle was introduced..I would have been just as anoyed as you are about seatbelts. BUT thats not the case is it? These laws are just for vehicles - so please don't drag non-vehicle arguments into this.

Wear sharp objects in public?? Wtf now you're grasping at straws.. I never said that. And in regards to speeding you need to read my post again. I said that was NOT ok as you're endangering the lives of others. Lastly.. what? Being forced to behave in a certain way that does NOT enganger others is the the essence of what's wrong here. You sound stupid. Stupidhead!

I know what you said, but I said that nog being allowed to wear sharp objects in public was a law Im happy about. As its related to using sharp objects overall.
I DO know that you said that about speeding...I did however mention driving a car - and the risk you put others into if you dont use a seatbelt too..like being thrown out of the windshield´.

...and thats when you turned into namecalling - a common thing among people who just dont have anything else to bring into a discussion. Really impressive.

Yeah should should try living in sweden for a while wawrzul.. I've been working with kids for a while and parents here are fucking kids themselves because they've never had to learn how to think for themselves. "Just follow the rules and you'll be fine.". Which, as you say, leads to more and more stupid laws as some knuckleheads finds some loophole and manages to get himself and/or his kids killed. "ooh I shouldn't have put my 5 months old baby next to the staircase and left her there?!? New law PLS!!!11!"

@Helvete
I dont mean to offend people that are socialists but...well, fact is that socialism wants to "care" about people so much that it has to make dumb laws for dumb people who follow them like machines. Without any thought at all... I heard Sweden is one of the worst in that case...sorry :/ (although your country is rich, more than Poland anyway - talking about medium income and natural resources).

@Anthirs
1. Traumatize people with my corpse? Good one! Laughing Laughing
2. Kids? I dont have them, but i would force them to wear seatbelt cause they are NOT ADULTS. Were you thinking when asking about kids? That was a truly retarded question.
3. People should THINK, and you should THINK twice.
4. People dying 'cause of stupidity? Its called "natural seletion". Ever heard about it in school? If someone smokes and dies of lung cancer caused by smoking and his family sues the cigarette company for it - they should be laughed at instead of being treated as victims (it also goes to the dead one - you smoke, you die).
5. I dont believe in traffic rules? Dude, read my posts again. I said that wearing seatbelt, helmet etc. should be a CHOICE. There has to be freedom of choice, or ppl will stop thinking. Do i get through to you at all?
6. Dont insult me with conspiracies. I never said there was any so youre just trying to put words in my mouth (post). Stop fucking trying plz. Youre just trying to discredit my opinions, so please just stop.

Now THAT I do agree on. We do have alot of parents that doesnt seem able to let go of their kids and let them learn from their mistakes. Ofc there has to be some rules, but some parents are way too hard.

I kind of get anoyed when you hear a kid getting hurt while using a toy and they blame the manufacturer... even though its just 1 out of billions who had the accident with the toy. Hell, I was playing with knifes and axes when I was a kid and I sure as hell had no problems (apart from a couple of stitches...but my parents just told me it was my own fault...and thats about it)

What does socialism has to do with any of this? Confused Stupid laws exist everywhere. Socialism is just an economic system.

I never claimed that you thought it was conspiracies - but the fact is that many people belive that anything the goverment says are conspiracies.I said (and I quote myself)

Quote:
Oh, and not everything the goverment does or say have to be a conspiracy Wink

No, im not trying to discredit you - I just don't agree with what you say. Whats the matter, can't handle the fact that somebody doesnt belive in the same things as you? Wink

Im sure you know there is a difference between not agreeing and trying to discredit somebody?

Edit: Btw, natural selection has nothing to do with ignoring the law.

As I forgot to answer some of the other stuff I might aswell do it right away. Im glad you only read the traumatize part but ignored the fact that many people has and will be involved in taking care of a corpse.
Regarding kids, yeah - it might sound abit retarded now once I re-read it..but think of it, if you had kids and they had seatbelts and you didnt. If you crashed and died. You would leave them parentless (or atleast fatherless) - something that you could have avoided (well, hopefully anyway) by using a seatbelt. Same with friends and relatives, you might not care if you get annihilated during a crash but Im sure (if if its hard to belive in this case WinkWink) there are people that would care.
And kids should have the same free will as parents? No? Or you think they should sit and burn in the car? Wink

I did read the "choice" part - but the problem is that if people get to choose, the majority would ignore using it or sooner or later get too lazy to use it thinking "well, it never happens anything to me anyway".

Don't get me wrong, I respect your opinions - I just don't agree with them.

So if you're not implying i believe in conspiracies then why do you write it in a post that's suppose to be an answer to mine? If its irrelevant then skip it.
Anyway, we dont agree. And that's ok.

@DarkPassenger
Socialism isnt only an economic system. As the name suggest - its mostly a social "road sign" that wants people to live together in harmony, unharmed, safe etc. etc. Of course its not possible (utopia) to everyone live a long, beautiful life, "death-free" life.Also FORCING people to do something instead of making them fend for themselves is a creation of socialistic governments and ideologists. Its a mean to control people in a way. Im not saying they want to totally mind-control people (no conspiracy here, Anthirs Smile ) but they are forcing them to do some things - like the mentioned wearing seatbelts or letting them sue anyone for ANY(dumb)thing. Another thing is taking children away from parents that i.e. left a child unattended for a minute and that child fell from the window. IT-FUCKING-HAPPENS and taking rest of the children to some social house or whatever (dont know a name for that in english...) plus locking up the parents aint gonna do no good for no one! Those things happen and that is something you can't control. Its a fucking tragedy but leaving children to leave in a god forsaken place away from their biological parents is really an anomaly. That's how things are in Poland. And i say it's sick.

@Anthirs
About kids...i partially agree - having them watch me dead, die or burn in the car its very drastic. But please...leave me a CHOICE. Thats all im asking.

About the choice itself...just a few years ago in many places on earth the law wasn't as strict as now and was the world in disarray? Apocalypse? No, people lived and worked. So why change that? "The better is an enemy to the good" (dunno if i translated it right from polish...) If something ain't broken, don't fix it. There were deaths, there will be deaths - nothing can stop or change it.

PS. Nice to have a chat with people with an interesing POV, Anthris and Helvete Smile

Well it IS relevant as its quite often being used as an excuse to ignore laws.
My ex stepmother used to drive over the speed limit with the excuse "I dont think that speed limit was the correct one for this road" as an excuse Razz

Oh I do know you don't like people driving too fast, but I thought adding that short "story" was a funny quote Smile

Tell you what...i partially agree with you ex stepmother. When there is a road i drive everyday and i.e. there were some repairs being done on it, often there are roadsigns with speed limit left even after the repairs. And i know that, but many people don't. It IS an excuse for me to ignore the speed limit. Also when there is a road when i know i can drive faster cause there is no live human being around - i do it.
You can say i ignore the law in here, no excuse for me.
