Im thinking of buying PS3, but I dont have a good tv. Is there a way to hook it to my imac and play through its monitor?

I wonder if there would be an input lag of some sort. That thingy encodes analog signal and push it via usb, then you need to use EyeTV proggy to view it.

yeah, you may as well just go for something like this ...

or

or

that's only like £135-200 depending on 22"-24" size...

yeah, it does seem like it has some limitations when PS3
http://support.elgato.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=1203

actually enough to make it not worth it. no widescreen and no component when using PS3 :/
