I'm bored, and I'm on the fence here. I could give Guild Wars another go. I never did finish the campaign. lol

Which Warhammer? DoW2? If so, then definitely DoW2! It'll last you a lot longer and has far greater replay value, IMO.

Warhammer what?

Warhammer Online? Laughing Laughing

But between Warhammer 40k Dawn of War 2 and Riddick, it's a hard choice. I'd say Riddick, but the copy protection is so bad. Overall both games are great, you'll enjoy them both. Smile

Edit: Sabin asked too. Smile

Warhammer Online is an abomination, is unworthy of the name "Warhammer". It is so far from what the world is supposed to be, and so far from the original game (supposed to be about an epic war, yet everything feels so lackluster and underwhelming).

I don't agree. I played tabletop/p&p for 15 years and I really enjoy warhammer online. Tried the really big battles?

No, I haven't. But by big I assume you mean a lot of players in the same time? This is not enough to make something epic. They all fight, but everyone is fighting ultimately for himself, which is entirely against Warhammer lore.

If it's DoW 2 you could buy Riddick if you can't wait for a proper release/crack and are OK with the protection system on it and then aquire a cheap G4W key and "activate" Dawn of War 2 that way. Very Happy

No... later on in later tiers there's a lot of team elements.
Regardless, the PVP is fun.

Did you even make it far enough to where your fighting to upgrade your main city and doing sieges? if not, you didn't play far enough.

But to each his own. I'll be anxiously awaiting your online MMO.

Riddick, just suffer the protection until it's cracked, but you'll at least be able to play this awesome game.

Nah, Warhammer Online glued me to my monitor for a couple of weeks (the darn thing starts awesome!) until i got pissed at the horrible collision system and the lack of players.. i was playing on EU servers mostly during nights duh!
No matter how great Riddick may be i doubt you'll be playing it for more then a couple of days, might as well wait for teh scene release:)

As long as you are a consumer you have the right to criticize a product. I don't know why people still bother with that juvenile argument of "you couldn't do better!"

No idea. I think it's the same with criticizing free stuff and the "it's free, shut up" mentality. As long as someone offers something to the public, one should accept the fact criticism will come (and hopefully, one should also accept the criticism as well).

Because it's fun getting responses from such high intellectuals like yourself.
Plus, it was all I had.

As I said... did you even bother getting to the later tiers and seeing sieges and stuff like that?
Admittedly, it was a grind getting there but once there, the game changed for the better.

hell, the game didn't even start until tier 3 and above.

If all you experienced was jumping into the first couple of PVP scenarios, you missed the boat.

lol I ended up getting both. Hope nothing else interesting comes out this May.

Next purchase would be Prototype, but I'm sure it's getting delayed.

Anyway, thanks guys for not being of one opinion and thus forcing me to just go with both. DAMN IT.

Actually, Mr Beckman had the right idea - buy Dark Athena, download and "register" Dawn of War 2.

Why would that matter? I don't have my DoW2 anywhere near the Steam client, it's just running through the RevLoader and registered over Live with my "The Club" key. Online play works gloriously, I've been playing it all week Very Happy

Yes I know, but some people like to have long list of games on Steam (to compensate for other short things). Wink
