An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly find a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology.
the dude that was linked to the dead-in-the-water halo movie eh... for that alone im curious to see this.
not that i think halo is anything other than a shitty game, but im so starved for sci-fi movies, i was actually looking forward too it a little bit.
ditto , the whole series is pretty much shit
but the movie had a real great thing going for it , the director really wanted to do a real war that was set in the future , no heroic shit , the script was really good and peter jackson was a producer , universal wanted to do the flick but FOX didnt like the concept and backed out and that killed it.
i mean shit , those Halo 3 commercials are pretty good
The New York Times reports that Peter Jackson will be making the trek to the San Diego Comic-Con for the first time this July to promote the Neill Blomkamp-directed District 9, which he is producing:
"I'm thrilled that I finally have the opportunity," Mr. Jackson said in an e-mail message. "Neill is a tremendously talented young director, and he's made an extraordinary film, so it was important to me to come to San Diego to spread the word." He added that attendees will be in for "quite a ride," but did not elaborate.
"I'm not supposed to review District 9, so this isn't a review. But Sony has said that I could share my reaction to the movie, so this is my reaction: It's pretty fucking awesome."
"I think the CGI here looked miles better than the cartoony CG I saw from Avatar"
