Hi
I am after a bit of advice on web based tv apps. Basically I want to know if any of the apps that will enable me to watch cable tv channels (U.K) are actually any good? if so which ones? I have tried out a few and to be honest they are fricking shite.

So any of you any experience with these? I refuse to pay Virgins prices for the shite on Sky etc. and am mainly after all the kids channels for my nipper.

Is it possible?

Thanks

Not sure if you mean streaming directly from the web or via a DVB-T/C/S-card and having the appropriate software to decode it?

I researched this for quite a while when I was interested in building a HTPC with DVB-C-capabilities and I can tell you it's not exactly easy yet. I use a DreamBox personally and sort of wanted all the utility of that via my PC but it's a shitload of software.

Gaming - Intel Quad Q9450 @ 3.2GHZ | Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB | SB X-Fi | PC6400 8GB | 300GB Velociraptor
HTPC - Antec Fusion Remote | AMD Athlon 7850 X2 | PC6400 2GB | 74GB Raptor
Server - Athlon 64 X2 4200+ | Radeon HD 3450 | SB X-Fi | PC5300 2GB | 4TB+ total space
