try to boot into 'dos' and use 'native' dos tools.
i had to done it so cause i was unable to erase my firmware under xp, so i need dos tools.
before i flashed my 'new' 360 i readed a lot in forums etc. and many people say, if you had trouble to do it under xp, try dos

so my advice: try it Razz

What USB port do you use front of the case? or directly into the motherboard?
