So i know it's possible to use the PS3 controller on the PC, so i plugged in the USB cable and it installed right away. Shows up under Game Controllers as PLAYSTATION3 Controller, but none of the buttons or sticks work when i test it/calibrate it.

So whats the problem? Razz

Wow, that LibUSB totally fucked my PC up! All my USB devices stopped working, and that includes both my keyboard and mouse. Restarted - no go. Got bluescreens five times, tried Safe Mode, and still got a bluescreen. So i had to borrow a PS/2 keyboard, go into Safe Mode, uninstall Libusb and now im back again!

So, any other options beside Libusb? Razz

I would not think so but are you running x64 bit ? that shit does not work under x64 bit windows

it works fine on xp x32 but also works on vista x32 but you have to run it with compability mode set to windows xp

I have to use that when i wanted to jailbreak my ipod itouch..had to instal 32bit version of windows just for that :/

does the PS3's gamepad still have the lame layout of having both sticks in the middle?

Yup it does, it looks like a wireless DualShock 2, basically.
