I agree, hardly any increase can be had in gaming. Latencies mostly pay off in apps with intensive memory operations, which the majority of gaming only slightly puts a strain on. In addition, I personally find with a little tweaking and with good brand "budget" type ram, you can achieve the latencies and clock speed of the overpriced sticks. No real reason to blow money on premium ram unless its just burning a hole in yer wallet.
