PAL DVDR-KiNOWELT release of the DVD-R is out, has German subtitles, so if someone decides to download that one dont be shy to upload the subs in .srt format to the known sub collection sites.

the german subs from the DVD are on the net, bluray had none whatsoever.
So they have to be resynced for the bluray rip ( i wouldnt watch the dvdrip cause of the quality) and be translated.
IF they arent translated in the near future ill do it myself ( american friends are waiting eagerly for it ).

According to the german news media it was found out today by looking through the millions of files left by the east german secret service STASI that the policeman that shot the student in 1967 ( beginning of the movie ) was working for the STASI as a spy.... which radicalized the students and formed the RAF. Which sort of links together with what we found out after the cold war that the STASI funded, trained, and harbored the RAF members during this time.

.. wow. Oh btw I totally forgot to post in this thread how great this movie was and that I can't imagine ANYthing that could have been better done in hollywood or somewhere else. Infact I think they would have messed it up. Great movie!
