This is a piracy forum btw, u don't have to lie and pretend you are going to buy it. |
I beg to differ.. Theres a line between piracy following a well defined set of rules and piracy no matter what.
Obviously piracy stays piracy no matter how you justify it, but i consider this a kind of honour amongs thieves thing: you keep to a moral standard, even if that standard is in conflict with the currently accepted laws. Thats how i see it. So before the usual copyright evangelists come in here guns blazing, stop even trying to convince me how im a criminal anyway, cuz i'm not. I might be in conflict with the current laws, but laws are just that.. rules that change over time, rules that are changed because they stop being sensible / maintainable.
To make the above clearer: I buy all the games i play, that is play and not just try then throw it away.
Furthermore, laws/rules are / were set by the rich and elite and usually limit what the *poor* or common folk can do. Copyright rules are no exception to that. Trust me when i say: it is very well possible, that the world we live in now will be forced to change well within the span of our lives, because the current system of institutionalized slavery can only go one way on the long run. Uhmm.. i guess i strayed a lil off topic here.
Anyway:
In a world where there would be fully functional limited time trial versions of all software, where digital distribution would be the commonly accepted form of delivery, where DRM would not force you to suck your own d*ck, while sticking your thumb up in your a$$ to play what you paid for.. Well: in that world there would be no demand for pirated versions of games either. No real demand at least.
Anyway.. people do not have to *pretend* they buy games, because they in fact buy the games they like.

What if a post on Steam forum says that the moon is made of cheese? How is using a proxy different from going to the US and buying something with your account? How will Valve "find out"? And why would they ban you?
Use the gift trick to be safe?

Because they are fucking scammers, thats why. Yet there is nothing we can do. Nothing the "little man" can do. We cant sue them, nothing would happen. Sue for 10 bucks? Their big corporate lawyers would pwn us.
Again and again the corps keep raping us with their avoidance of simple laws, yet piracy is considered a crime, while Steam isnt even though they charge more than the game costs? And you cant even talk about it on the forums without risk of being banned
Sounds an awful lot like a dictatorship, doesnt it? But oh wait this is the internets, there are no laws here, even for real stores.

On the STEAM ETW page it says:
"Förköp i dag och få Rome Total War Gold Edition utan extra kostnad."
means: preorder today and get Rome Total War Edition for free
My bill didnt mention anything about RTW and I cant see the game on my STEAM games page
