I'm pretty sure that the civil war will be the first expansion. Huge market for it and plenty of interesting battles.

Meh, it will not be as epic as medieval or the classic modern era warfare.

Totally not! Total war is a series that concentrates on armies that use discipline formations on open fields, not trench/guerrila warfare of modern times.

Well anyway I think WWII is good subject for series. A damn good. Imagine - WWII technologies, tanks, paratroopers, spies, diplomacy......
Next series should be from 1900-1950 - mmmmmmmm ......

WWII wouldn't work. Armies don't square off over open ground and battle in formations which is what TW is all about.

I seriously doubt the TW franchise will do anything beyond the 1800's. As some have already said the strategy and tactics are so enormously different on the twentieth and twentyfirst century battlefields compared to the era's that the TW-games are set in.
However I DO agree that it would be very cool with a game set in WW2 or the modern era that utilizes TW's style of gameplay with a huge strategy map as well as a tactical map for the actual battles. Strategic map ala TW and battlemap ala Men/Faces of War. I can't say I wouldn't be interested

Anyway. Fuck, I can't wait for this game! If we see a release this weekend (I know, it's unlikely) I will cream myself. |

LOL!
Well SycoShaman, I dunno how old you are, you may be of my age? (46), but you sure don't act like it buddy , and I pity you if you are.
We all know now, that your 'post count' is all that matters, ain't that sad?
If your a young 'excited' guy in your teens (or maybe a touch older) then please accept my apologies for saying 'get a damn life' over a 'GAME', and lets face it, its just a GAME! regardless, yup, like any other I'm afraid, no matter how good or bad it is.
A few guys in here said the right things regarding my comment, I would thank them 'personally', but seeing as I ONLY have 5 posts, I'll leave the 'honors' to you

I turn 32 this year.
The fact that you feel the need to try and put someone down to make yourself look "cool" or feel good, is pathetic...and I hardly believe your 46. Someone of that age wouldn't act so immature.
And you were referring to me taking time of work? I make really good money, last week I worked 15 hour shifts, this week standard.
I can afford to take the time off and I need it as well.
I'm sorry your not in the position to take time off work, but thats not my problem.
As for my life. I want for nothing, I have a gorgeous girlfriend, I make really good money. So yeah, my life is fine. And considering most weekends I end up partying with my girl at a club or some vip lounge, i thought a few days and weekend off of partying would be good for me and the fact that my girl likes videogames and wants me to teach her E:TW as she has never played a TW game before, I figured why not? She's down for it, so am I.
Making snap judgements about a person you don't know isn't a good idea and clearly demonstrates your immaturity.
And the point i was trying to make regarding post count is, you don't know me, you cant as you obviously haven't been here long, hence your post count. Other than that, post count means jack shit and I've said that numerous times.
The only thing it shows is how long you've been here. Thats it.
The argument you use is so old man, it doesn't fly any more, at least if your going to try and spin what I say, have a fresh, valid comment/argument. Not something someone else has said a million times on a million different forums, sad....
So, to reiterate, don't make snap judgements and call people names/put them down etc when you a) don't know them b) don't have all the facts
If you were really 46 like you CLAIM to be, you would already know this and I wouldn't have to say it. Take a lesson from some of the younger guys on the forum who are your age but are actually mature ala Waldo, AM, Sin etc
When joining a new forum, its not good to start off attacking people and lying dude. Really, that is what is truly sad...the fact you feel the need for self gratification by trying to bring someone else down.
And, like you, I'm just replying.
So why don't we stick to the topic of this thread which is the game?
I'm not interested in bickering back and forth with you. I'm interested in the game, that is all.
@Everyone else/On Topic
If IGN has a review out, does that mean other's have the game? Hence we MAY see a release sometime tonight or tomorrow or Sunday? Thats a rhetorical remark by the way

I come in here read the thread, and I find a lot of bullshit has been added , which I have to clean up, that makes me an angry old man. If I see anymore of that I'll have to start handing out bans.
