Not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread but here goes.
Quote:
t's meant to be a first-person game, but if you're curious how DICE's Mirror's Edge works in third-person mode, this should give you an idea, courtesy of user jbdvrock. Not surprisingly, it looks pretty awkward.

Also in the post are instructions for how to access the unintended perspective, which we're reposted below.

* Head to 'Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config\' and use notepad to open up 'TDInput'
* Add 'Bindings=(Name="F4",Command="FreeFlightC amera",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)' to the list of bindings
* Once in the game, press F4 to cycle camera modes.

Should i be abel to max this game (8 AA etc) with 8400 and 4780 ( 1 gig) and 2 gig ram at 1680 ?

I played the game for like 10 min and it went very smooth but then i was in the building where you meet the sister and when the SWAT came in and i started running the game got really weird. Low FPS and everything vent very slow and uneven...

Is it some error or do i just need to turn the settings down?

It's because of the the PhysX. Turn it off and everything will be smooth again.

Any news on when the PC DLC is out? I google'd but couldn't find anything other than 'February', and am hoping someone else is more in-the-know than me. Smile

I have to admit this game is somehow fucking great, somehow quite fucked boring!

The fucking fights are all pretty much the same without any fucking variations!

The jumps are fucking wild, but nothing tooo great the whole fucking time!

Still quite ok, suck it! Smile

Mmmm... Whilst I bought the game, I'm fervently hoping the DLC will be cracked. I refuse to pay 7 of my English pounds for something when the original was such a short time-filler. Christ. Empire Total War DLC I can see myself paying for, but this? No.

yes it's just a few race maps, but it's free running in its purest form, without the half-assed puzzles and fights that just dragged down the original game

I took apart the DLC setup file and the install-shield files in it, as seen in the above image it includes a new EXE for what I think are some updates to the engine related to the DLC content but it means a new crack would be required to play the game with the DLC installed.

EDIT: It also connects to EA servers for a unlock code.

I think it's purposely very short to stay true to the original.

LOVED THIS GAME! one of the most enjoyable games in recent memory.. for the most part... i would have liked a lot more free running based sequences and less combat though, because the free running was intense and a lot of fun... hope they make a sequel: but with better story and more interesting characters next time i hope!

Sort-of but it probably won't work on it's own.

You can buy the DLC without owning the actual game (I got lucky when I pre-ordered the game as it included the DLC for free once released.) however the game uses one serial number and the DLC another.

It also updates several core files including the EXE so a crack is needed to get past SecuROM online verification as it uses the original game serial and not the DLC one.

Once in the game you select race and have to log in to a EA account which first checks the game serial and then when the DLC is installed will prompt you for the DLC serial in order to unlock the new maps.

Hope this helps explain how it works. Smile
