Yup WCing here, not coming even close to "these" jobs but. I might give it a shot on my next build.

Will probably get a all new system around beginning of next year.. What makes it so nice looking is the cable management + that the cases are painted black inside.

But believe me, you will need a lot of cable sleeves and shrink wrap to get it done properly.

I did most of my cables with "black" sleeves, but I did not do the individual 24 pin ATX connector cables etc. This is what most of these guys are doing...EVERY fracking cable is done individually...looks neat but.

For anyone interested in the "Build Log" of the MurderBox

FULL LOG
A lot of pages, but it's pretty much complete...down to the zip ties and cable clamps Smile.

You can not really compare. The photo/light is crap+my cable management is like 30% of the Murder Box, the interior is also in raw aluminium which makes it look even crappier .

For my next build I will probably buy the Silverstone TJ07 and go for 1/2" tubing (that's 13/19mm for us EU guys) As my current case is only a "mid tower" I had to mount the rad on the outside. In a full tower you can mount it in the lower compartment, like in the TJ07/Murder Box.

Pathetic.. who is frick'n retarded to buy systems that will be beyond irrelevant in a year? Buy mid-level, buy smart, buy to be scalable. Max price for high-end is ~$2700 w/taxes CDN and that makes a shear mockery of that "GHEY BOX "in terms of performance/overclocking scalability AND at more than half the price. If you are a "silver-spooned chimp" from Wall Street with money flowing outta yer arse, then sure -- get that and another Porsche for your garage. When you someday drop back to the "real world" watch out for the ton of bricks that flatten you.

Computer internals are NOT about looks -- its about function and performance... this isn't a Madison Fashion show. Style takes you nowhere when you're stuck in mud as the functional system builder skims over your sorry ass reminding you what, in the end, a computer is about. And ITS NOT ABOUT DRESSING YOUR COMPUTER LIKE A GIRL'S DOLL.

+ FUCKING 1! Function>>>>Form

Computers are just like any other appliance. I don't see people decorating their tv sets or modding their stereos. There's definitely an element of undiagnosed OCD when people start fussing over minute details like concealing all the cables or the paint-job on the case.

true dat. i've still got my 3,5 years old system (including the worst cable management in existence, evidence below) and with just a little bit OCing and a new mid-range card it runs everything fine at friggin 1920x1200.
 Spoiler:

and who cares, it's all behind a steel panel in a massively expensive 55€ case. which stands in the corner, under my big desk, so you can't even see it Laughing

but still, looking at those systems above is like lifting the hood of a supercar and gazing at the engine - which makes absolutely no sense at all, but it's simply fascinating to look at.

Some guys like to mod cars or what have you, I guess some others like to fiddle with making ones PC nice and clean. Of course it's not a must, but if you like that stuff...why not.

And most of these WC mods have windowed side panels...just so you can watch all that bling...all the time .

As for the stuff getting dated etc, well a "good" case lasts longer then any CPU cycle. I had my Lian Li for over 3 generations of CPUs...but it is way to small for what i am doing, so it is time to look for a new solution.

To mod your PC is more like a hobby then anything else. Just the satisfaction of making something nice, and it's not that hard.

You say you live in the real world but you get all pissy and feel like ranting like a lil kid when ppl show off computers that are designed well and cost a bit more?

Wow. Just..wow.

Its one of my hobbies being a system builder and "educating" those who want to save lots of money while having specs and "real world results" that shit-storm over OEM Bullcrap that is simply the flavor of a few months. And no there are no rules to this.. biz.. but there is "common sense" to be learned and appreciated. Artform and image in computers is "case-deep" and should be left to those who would manufacture culture from it. Perhaps I am too passionate over this but from time and time it has to be reminded what computers are REALLY about: and its NOT window-dressing because that computer's use is x100 more finite than a luxury car (which are collectables and appreciate in value). Computers are not.. they die massive deaths after a year+ or sooner because the next-gen sh*t-storms over them so badly. Very Happy
