According to what I've read in this thread the demo supports both DX9 and DX10 but there's no major visual differences, haven't tried it myself though.

i'm running xp and it gave me 2 shortcuts ("normal" version and dx10)
The game is good BUT the weapons , when you change them or when you shoot someone with the machine gun the screen image goes like crazy . Kind'a buggy , also that n00b who reads the letters from the LOADING SCREEN has that : thing = szing , The = sze . The game is good

Yeah sucks doesn't it,I am forced to play the game at 1280x1024,even if I edit the config file to 1920x1080 and try starting the game,it just locks up,runs fine at the 1280x1024,just looks like crap.
Installed, game asked for the disc but I copied the missing files over to the bin folder and it started just fine after the by now pretty common software activation protection.
Seems the game has three endings based on the video names in the movie folder, also got rid of the logo videos that way.
Adding the +DX10 switch also runs the game under DX10 mode as been mentioned but I'm still adjusting controls and such at the moment, will give a try very soon though.
