I agree with this to be honest. I now wait most of the time for x264 rips. It certainly is the new 'standard' format. Xvid is old shit now.

I think such a section would be pointless. When it comes to nfos for movies, nforce is really bad at collecting them.

Does this mean that x264 section couldn't be a different story? Releases are different, groups are different filesizes are at least sime as DVD-Rs so I don't see any good reason why this section would be pointless.

I have some questions...

Scene Bluray movies (ex. Crank.2006.720p.DVD5.BluRay.x264-SEPTiC) are original Bluray movies or its Bluray rips?

Which is diference betwen x264 and H264?

they are rips. real bluray in VC1 are ~20-40 gb. quality can range, especially in scene releases where quality is not a priority but releasing fast is. septic is the worst of the bunch, but they have gotten better in recent days.

when x264 is the codec, mkv is usually the container
when vc1 or mpeg4 avc or mpeg2 is the codec (all can be used on bluray), m2ts is usually the container

x264 is an implementation of MPEG4 AVC, so it has nothing to do with the container. It's like saying MPEG2 codec files use the VOB container and Xvid files use AVI container. Smile

Bluray disks use the M2TS container, HDDVD disks use the Enhanced VOB (file extensions EVO+MAP) container, while HDTV caps (not as popular anymore) are almost predominately MPEG2 Transport Stream (file extension TS), regardless of the codec, because it is very simple to just throw stuff in the TS. In fact, M2TS is the same MPEG2 TS, with modifications to make it more usable for random access disks.
