im looking for an old ms dos game, the only thing i can actually tell you about it is that its cover had some weird dark guy (i dont mean an african) and he had a shovel in his hand, he was burying something i think.

as for the gameplay, you're in a weird house that's all i can recall sorry

please help me before i die of a brain tumor

If we're on the subject of DOS games, I recommend everyone check Another World. Few games can be considered as art, and I believe this one deserves the title. Fantastic.

I remember playing it as a kid, great disappointment back then since I was too young to understand the game mechanics (I was like 5 or 6 years old).
A few months ago I played the 10th Anniversary Edition and it blew my mind. Indeed a piece of art.

yeah, aw was fun. didn't manage to finish the sequel, though (heart of the alien). is it worth it? i tried to get through it a couple of times, but i didn't have the patience anymore for that sort of unforgiving gameplay and clumsy controls.

Wasn't aware of a sequel... for SEGA CD? Is there an emulator or some way to play it on PC? Is it worth it?

Another amazing game with the same style is Flashback: The Quest for Identity. I played trough it multiple times. All three oddworld games are also good. Anyone know of any other with the same gameplay style?

yea ive got the sega cd one on my psp its has another world and heart on an alien on the cd, i use pico drive and it works fine

Is it possible that another dark is short enough to finish it in 30-45 minutes? I remember playing it on my 8088 Razz I finished it some years ago on a snes emulator. Thank god, it had a good saving system Very Happy

if you mean another world, then yeah, but maybe only by quicksaving and playing it once before so you can take the shortest routes. played it on the pc and i remember retrying some parts forever, even when i knew what i had to Smile

if you mean dark eye, no idea, since i didn't play it.

I finished Another World dozens of times, i still have it at work. They don't make games like this anymore Sad
Also Another World is a proof that linear games will always be better than open-world open-ended nonlinear crap. I played the 101st time and still the cave level, the kick-in-the-balls level or the escape-under-fire level are amazing to me and they fucking rock!

Best cyberpunk definitely, good actors too, Cristopher Walken, John Ryhs Davies, I hate the random killer thing and the puzzles are fucked, but it has the atmosphere.

it's not empty. there are games there, but the bigger ones are ripped.
little big adventure 2, for example, is just 34mb, and it had a few hundred mb.
it made sense back in the day, when you dloaded stuff through dial-up, but right now it makes no sense to play a rip.
