Remember seeing this some years ago. Pity they had to kill the whole colony to do this, but it sure proves that evolution works...and remember that the insects where one of the 1st species to colonize land...all those billions of years ago. There are many thousands of ant colonies of a similar size out there. I think destroying one to learn about it's structure is a small price to pay.
