Hi all.

I just tried the winrar benchmark on my newish computer and got a really poor score, i think.
I have.
Ati 4850 512mbs gfx card
Core duo 7300@ 3.2 ghz.
4 gigs of identical ram, decent to
p5ql pro motherboard

Yet when i open winrar and goto tools then run benchmark i get a shittty 520 score????
That's way to low isn't it for my comp?
I've seen a few single amd core chips get better.
Any ideas what it could be?
And what score should i get from this tool?

Thanks Smile

That's a low score indeed if you look at the ones here. I got 369 but that's hardly saying anything since I am using an athlon xp 2600+ at stock. Wink

You should run some other more extensive benchmarks too to see if the problem extends to actual performance or maybe it's just limited to winrar. And while the benches are running see if both the cores are working, provided the benchmark is optimised for that.

An overclocked X2 4200+ on winXP32 got me 490, so that score is looowwww for your PC.

Oo Winrar has a benchmark, never knew... Doesn't the benchmark play nice with quadcores, or is ~75% cpu usage normal?

Oh, never knew winrar had a benchmark.

Just ran it and got:

Intel C2D 8200 O/C'ed to 3.600Mhz
4GB OCZ Reaper DDR2 (O/C'ed to 900Mhz)
PowerColor HD4870 1GB PCS+
Asus Maximus Formula motherboard (x38 chipset)

I think the E7300 have a shitty amount of cache, something that is very important for tasks like Winrar.
