absolutely worst game ever.. i have to thrash my computer now since its contaminated by this utter crap
i started up the game expecting a gta clone basicly with worse graphics.. boy was i wrong
1. horrible animations.. HORRIBLE no feeling at ALL
2. graphics is really shit compared to.. anything
3. feeling of cars = absolute shit, no physics at all, feels like a game some buddy has made in school
4. combat is laughable
5. sounds are just shitty
6. just overall unpolished (and we are talking unpolished crap, thats bad)
7. poor optimization (another shitty port)
8. poor physics, very poor if there actually is any real physics
9. actually cost money to buy ????
this doesnt even belong in the valuegames department, needless to say i tried to pour acid in my eyes and ive set my computer on fire to kill this.. this VIRUS!
i award this "most bandwith spent for nothing" award

A rush-job utter crap port unfortunately. Don't bother wasting bandwith or hard-drive space.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Similar to GTA IV this title does seem very CPU dependent though but I guess you can still blame lack of optimization for part of the performance problems.
(Unsure how the console version runs and at what settings, doubt AA is used at any higher values and unsure about ambient occlusion as it's pretty demanding as seen in various titles and with NVIDIA 185.20 which added it as a option with various quality levels.) |
Huh? Nvidia 185.20 drivers? I can't find those drivers on the official nvidia page, not even in the beta section. The latest I found are 180.84 drivers.

another review
http://www.gamingheaven.net/gamingreviews.php?reviewid=686
Before we get into the review any further, let me just state that if you are one of the many who had issues with Grand Theft Auto 4 running on your PC then this is one you will certainly want to avoid. I have a Quad Core Intel CPU running at 3ghz with 2 GB of ram and even on my 9800 GTX the game struggles to maintain a good frame rate at a high resolution (1920). I was getting performance around the 15-20 fps mark which I don't think is particularly acceptable in 2009 for such a decent gaming PC. Clearly developers recently feel we should all be running Skulltrail with 3 280 GTXs in SLI to get acceptable performance from our console ports!

Man even GTA runs better than this,
Performance is quite bad, even with low settings.
It got graphic options Gta's been missing, like disabling shadows, dynamic lightning...
But even this wont give u a major performance boost.
Fuck PORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The game itself, aint that bad though.
About if cd-key is needed,
I just checked ingame, u need a gamespy account dont know about a cdkey.
dint try to register and login yet.
Good thing, theres a LAN option.

the game look good and everything run fine until you enter the car. holy shit how they could do something like that ?!!
You cant drive anything, every car or motorcycle move so fast or turn fast that its impossible to drive
is it normal in SR2 ??
