I see your point and I totally agree with you - one could easilly see that you are an on the level person (i hope it means the same as in my language). You can find more good games on Xbox 360, and as a gaming platform it's better, faulty but better. I would say, that for 10 hours of my gaming, I spend about 7 of them playing on Xbox 360. Some games look better on PS3, probably more look better on Xbox 360 - I don't know, because I don't own each and every game on the market.
What I also like about your post is that you don't write PS3 is crap, beacause it sure isn't. It has many cons, but also lots pros.

Opposite happened for me , I have to buy games for the ps3 thus invest more time , If I can download them willy nilly then I tend to not give a fuck after the 2nd or 3rd boot . God knows how many 360 games I have thats mid game because another game came along or I just couldn't be arsed playing it...
Strange because the only time I play my xbox 360 now is to play fifa on live

@Sabin; The only people who care about a graphics comparison in the first place are fanboys - so throwing the term around as an insult like that is pretty embarrassing.
There are games that look better on the PS3 (and I believe the most recent example was Tomb Raider) but they are few and far between because the best games on the PS3 are exclusives, not multi-platform titles which otherwise look ten times better on the PC.
On the topic of the PC, that alone has a vast array of graphical settings and variation in image quality amongst it's audience. Do you think that in some way diminishes their purchase or the enjoyment they get from playing their games? If a game is good, a game is good - and the PS3 has many good games whether they are first party exclusives or multi-platform titles.
Maybe you should get one, then you can comment.
Going right back on topic I'm finding the difference in the screenshots pretty negligible myself. I've seen the videos of the game being played and my impressions were simply; old game, old mechanics, new graphics. From demo impressions that also seems to be the case; RE4 updated. Nothing to get excited about in my opinion. Now Team ICO's next game on the other hand? That's something to get excited about.

His brain is jammed since yesterday, so don't pay attention to what he's posting...
About the game - Ispep wrote my thoughts exaclty. I was kind of excited to see the game in HD, but after playing the demo it seems that it's RE 4 with updated graphics. They should really finally do something new. It's like with Call of Duty, NFS and some other games - still the same old shit. Capcom is using the same old stupid tricks to make the game more scary, but instead it's more annoying, because we've seen it all! They throw in a retarded commando guy, with his retarded commando sidekick and make them run from some kind of alien/plant/zombie/virus life thing. It was OK in RE 4, but they should really consider moving on.
@Munkeee - I own most of my games, some I buy for Xbox 360, and some for PS3. Since I've got two platforms I can choose the game that feels better for me (I gave some examples in previous posts), but I enjoy both of them a lot. I try to have an equal amount of games for each platform, so they look good on my shelves  Xbox 360 is winning at the momment, but I think in 2009 it will be the other way round (spelling?) - lots of good PS3 exclusives are comming. |

he's jealous he doesnt have a PS3 man which is obvious. I have both consoles and the ps3 out preforms the shitBox imo.
I know, Sabin or someone else is gunna start quoting tech specs and "experts" etc But I go by what I see and experience ya know? |

Strange, isn't it... that we only see PS3 owners rushing to defend their console. Strange and curiously fishy.
The comparisons of 99.9% of multiplatform games don't lie. PC>360>PS3. Just accept it and take comfort in your purchase -- because if you were really happy, you wouldn't feel the need to constantly bitch and whine whenever someone mentions the PS3. You'd just smile and think "Well I'm happy with mine"

Nobody is defending the PS3, they are responding to this sort of shit which happens far too often on here for my liking;
"Aww, did that site offend your delicate PS3?", "I doubt there's been ANY game so far that looks, or even runs, better on the PS3. Face it, your £500 machine is a movie player with added basic game functionality.", "Go back to your motorstorm2 thread" "QFMFT". "Go back to your PayStation 3, loser.". ...and that's just in this thread. This isn't the Gamespot/Gametrailers forums. Should be aspiring to something a little more than that. These forums used to be great for discussion on the games not just open discussion on copy protection (etc).

I'm honestly surprised that Resi5 isn't coming for the Wii. Resi5 is just using a slightly updated Resi4 engine -- which we all know was superior on the Gamecube (PC version came close after the new lighting patches and a boatload of mods, but it still wasn't the same) So why not an updated Resi4 on an update GameCube?
I'm sure the Wii could handle it.

How was it a fanboy comparison? Comparisons exist because the demo was released on two, seperate, platforms. Or do you mean to say that nobody should put comparisons because it casts the PS3 in an unfair light?
Bollocks.
It's not our fault the PS3 version, currently, looks like a dead horse's ass. It may well turn out to be every bit as gorgeous, or even more so, as the 360 version -- IN THE END -- but for now, since Capcom saw fit to release them both; you cannot fault people for drawing comparisons.

I really don't believe that. While I do believe the game may have to take a hit in graphics for it to be on the Wii just like what Capcom did for RE4 on the PS2. But even then not nearly as severe of a graphics cut.
Perhaps its because of RE5's new controls that are causing the Wii delay because it may be tricky on a Wii remote. Or perhaps its Microsoft and Sony's demanding it be delayed because if a adult themed game outsells them on the Wii thats not going to look good for them. Could even be both perhaps the Wii is going to have a special controller for the game that will put the other versions to shame and MS and Sony want it our for their consoles first.

I'm with NS on this. The Wii version could very well be graphically cut-down in order to run properly - but it would still be the same game. Wii version of "Force Unleashed" was the same game, it was just missing some of the snazziness of the big-brother versions.

I think the failure of the PS3 speaks volumes (recent WSJ article). PS3 is a great console, but is it worth the extra $100-200? They desperately need to scale their system, and not by removing backwards compatibility. They need to have a version without bluray so they can actually sell systems. Otherwise, publishers/developers like Valve and Squaresoft will continue to run away.
As for RE5 on Wii: did you read the article? I'll listen to the guy who produces the game for this information. If it were so simple and easy, it would already be in development. They're not trying to stick it to Wii owners

Dropping BD would be suicide and it is worth the extra when you consider stuff like built in wireless and superior media playback capabilities (which gamers might baulk at but is a consideration for general consumers). The business strategy for Sony was wrong from the very beginning, and there's nothing you can do to change that now. There are rumours of price drops next year but the only thing that will improve fortunes until that day are games.

Honestly even if the PS3 gets a price drop even down to the levels of the 360 I would much rather own the 360. This isn't a biased opinion either as I don't own any of the current gen consoles.
There's just nothing that the PS3 has at the moment other than MGS4 (which honestly you can't expect to stay exclusive because of the past titles) While the 360 may not have a great number of exclusives it certainly outweighs the PS3.
To be quite honest if I was ever offered a free Wii or PS3 I would actually take the Wii as at least I know it would get some use and my wife would use it and my son could in a year or two. That's a pretty insulting truth to the PS3...
