On one hand since PS3 seems to use a lot of noise reduction, there is less aliasing on the screen. But on the other hand since XBOX360 doesn't use noise reduction, we see sharper image but also more aliasing (usually).
I personally prefer sharper image even if there is aliasing because you can always reduce noise on your HDTV if it's necessary. Its always the framerate that breaks the tie. Apparently Xbox360 has better framerate so Xbox360 is "winning" so far.

yeah ... its like all PS3 games use some sort of FORCED Blur to make a Fake AA ... like in C&C 3 and Red Alert 2

You ppl are really pathetic... I'm sure most of you don't even have a PS3 and X360 at home, and just read stupid comments on websites, comments that also come from ppl that don't have both consoles.
I do have them both, and many games look better on PS3, many also look better on X360. For example PS3 has Tomb Raider: Underworld (it even has higher rez), Dead Space and Mirror's Edge. X360 has Pure, Call of Duty: World at War and Fallout 3... It's never the same, one game looks better and another worse.
I really don't understand all the fanboysm - it's really stupid. And also the debate about why X360 i so much more popular... It's only because of one factor - cheap bastards all over the world can play everything for free. If both systems haven't been cracked, I don't think X360 would have had such a big advantage. It would probably sell a little better on account of a lower price, but on the other hand it's a technical piece of shit, so people would really consider PS3 before buying X360 aka RROD!
I like both consoles, they both have pros and cons, and I think they are equal. The only thing that differentiates (spelling ? ) them is the fact that PS3 hasn't been cracked!

Dude, what the shit are you smoking? It sounds awesome and I just HAVE to have some. You don't have a 360. You've got a PS3 and you're just *claiming* to have a 360 in order to bash on it. Piss off. I doubt there's been ANY game so far that looks, or even runs, better on the PS3. Face it, your £500 machine is a movie player with added basic game functionality.

Dead Space looks almost identical on X360 and PS3. The only real difference is the framerate: on X360 it stays fluid while the PS3 version gets choppy in larger areas.
Mirror's Edge on PS3 runs without AA.
Now back to RE5.

As to the topic at hand, I've not even played the demo yet (no blank CDRs to put it on, nor do I have 360explorer for managing the HDD directly) - so I'll just wait until the retail game comes out or until we get a PAL/NTSC demo release.

I don't think my PS3 is better... I think they are both good in some way. I like my PS3 because it's quiet, has some good looking games, can play Blu-rays, has DTS and looks really nice. But I know it's really expensive, many games look worse, and Sony pisses on their "audience"!
Xbox 360 on the other hand is cheap, has many great games (more than PS3), can play "backups", and has better controller. But as a hardware it's a piece of shit - had mine repaired twice already, it's loud as a vacuum cleaner, you have to pay for almost everything - even stupid themes, MS doesn't add any new functions and it's ugly looking...
I don't bash any console, I haven't written anywhere that PS3 is better or even slightly better, hell - I play more on my X360, but I wouldn't say it's the best, and PS3 is crap!

Yes its a pretty funny argument. I dont even take it seriously anymore. My cousin actually does have both a PS3 and an XBOX 360 and he doesn't like both consoles equally. Not even close. Before he bought an XBox 360 I remember he used to bash it so much and say that Xbox is overhyped and all this other bs. I didn't even feel I had to defend anything. He came over to my house one day and I SHOWED him why Xbox 360 is better.
He then bought an Xbox 360 and I modded it for him. He never touched his PS3 again. I see him on XBOX Live every night playing COD:World at War. And if anybody thinks IM making up BS, our family will probably go over to his house sometime soon, I will be bringing a camera with me.
Sorry but when it comes down to multi-platform gaming, 360 is in fact better.

Sorry but when it comes down to pure gaming, 360 is in fact better. ESPECIALLY on multi-platform games. Maybe I am an Xbox fanboy but I couldn't be happier that I went with Xbox. No regrets whatsoever  |
I see your point and I totally agree with you - one could easilly see that you are an on the level person (i hope it means the same as in my language). You can find more good games on Xbox 360, and as a gaming platform it's better, faulty but better. I would say, that for 10 hours of my gaming, I spend about 7 of them playing on Xbox 360. Some games look better on PS3, probably more look better on Xbox 360 - I don't know, because I don't own each and every game on the market.
What I also like about your post is that you don't write PS3 is crap, beacause it sure isn't. It has many cons, but also lots pros.
I like both consoles, but each for something else |
