Hai,

Atm I'm using UTorrent but that crap has some hardcoded limit on how low you can set upload limit before it fucks up your download speed(which is at 6kBps). Is there any client that doesn't do such a crap and allows leech mastery?

live with it, without sharing as well the torrent-system doesnt work. There are leech-only modded torrent-clients out there, but most trackers reject those anyways.

So good luck with your "free lunch". You might want to look into rapidshare or newsgroups if you cant stand having to upload stuff.

I'm a member of a private tracker for 4 years and have over 4.0 ratio, and the problem there is overseeding of torrents, new folks can't seed for shit and gain ratio.

Mind naming a few? I tried Azureus Shu but couldn't find a windows version, only mac everywhere.

if you use em on private trackers they are either rejected or you re kicked.

what you can do is traffic-shaping. Check out netlimiter or cfos. That way your torrent-program wont be altered but you can still set the upload for it to a bare minimum

That doesn't work. The moment upload goes below 6kB the download falls to 30kB and stays that way.

I shouldn't say this, but there are hacked versions of uTorrent (and other BitTorrent clients) that allow you to leech freely, plus they can report X times the amount of your real upload. Very easy to get caught with them, but they are available for low-level torrent sites.

why dont you stop the torrent right after it finishes downloading, instead of limiting the upload?

I wonder how slow your download speed is if a mere upload speed of 6KB/s causes overseeding.

yes you cant really overseed with 6kB/s ;p

this 'hardoced limit' was present only in certain (official) build of µTorrent, I think its not there anymore

and this topic doesnt belong here

I'm not talking about an individual case(me) but hordes of ppl seeding at few MBPS each.

And it is still hardocded in every utorent there is.

Because i'd rather have faster download speed.
