					| i own a geforce 8800gt 512mb and while surfing on the web, i noticed there's a site called guru3d which provides a nvidia driver for my card called Forceware.
I've always downloaded my drivers off the official nvidia site and was wondering what's the difference between the twos....

					| forceware is just the business-buzzword attached to the drivers. They used to be called "detonators" before.
i guess they didnt detonate enough so they renamed em. I dont feel much of the force in them either, but that might just be me having a low mediclorian-count

edit: if it is not obvious from the above: they are the same

					| lutzifer is just kidding around, "if it's not obvious from the above", but i don't consider getting your pc taken over by malevolent entities(or midi-chlorians, as they're sometimes called) a very funny matter.
forceware is similar to spyware, with the only difference being that it doesn't spy on your computer, it forces it do stuff against it's will (it's a sort of rape-ware, basically).

i recommend staying away from such "drivers", especially if they come from a guru.
i've heard lots of stories about them brainwashing people into having group sex with old men(to give just the first example that comes to mind), so be careful.

This reminds me of the "guide" that helped parents catch their children hacking... Remember that?

you'll notice almost instantly just from being a member here. No website goes unlooked, No game goes un-updated (unless you don't want the update or don't have the legit copy) etc.
