					| Everest Ultimate Edition!
If you have a G15 keyboard (with the screen) you can also have it shown there, perfect when playing.

					| xp, and i'm sure vista aswell, has performance logging integrated already
in xp it's under computer management / performance logs and alerts
create a log profile and enable
for xp you'll need to download the log viewer seperately though
i don't know if one is required for vista - it might have it integrated already

on xp, open computer management by right clicking 'my computer' and choosing 'manage', or through control panel / administrative tools
i don't know how to get there in vista as controlpanel is quite different, but rightclicking my computer would probably be the same

but yes, a third party solution like everest might be more user-friendly

Wherever you want it to. You specify folder and name when you set it up. I just ran a test and located the files to my desktop. I can see the values getting updated like every 5 sec or so in a .htm document (web page) It keeps adding colums as it updates.

					| sorted, thank you very much CC.

i found what i was looking for : my E4300 overclocked at 2.8 cant handle gta iv as both cpu's are maxed out during play & only getting 10-20 fps. i will try to overclocked it to 3.0 if it wont improve things then i might buy a quad cpu.

edit: my E4300 at 3.0 still isn't good enough for gaming,i must buy a Quad core unless i stick to my console gaming .

					| Wait for a patch, dude...
I only have a 3500+ (single core!) and a ATI4850, and i get 8-20 fps. This game is not ok.

					| Personally running a E8500 @4Ghz + 4870x2 and GTAIV runs pretty smooth over here at 2560x1600. Ok had to set the Textures to medium but all else on highest. I think it's a driver issue. At the mo it looks like the game only detects one card. Says I have a maximum of 1024MB GPU ram or somet...should have 2Gb...or at least so I think. | |

No, your card only has 1GB effrective RAM since you have a dual-GPU card. Each GPU have 1GB each, and those are cloned (ie. same content).
