I will admit, the second vid is crazy. The guy/kid/nerd is really good. But all the time he spent learning/memorizing that shit, he could have learned to play the drums for real...seriously.
I'll never understand why kids would rather dedicate hours and hours (days and months) to guitarhero and games like that instead of spending the same amount of time learning how to play the guitar (or drums, whatever instrument).
I can play guitar, kinda. Im no expert, I can play a few songs and its way more satisfying than tapping fuckin buttons....
and the fact i doubt that dude's ever been with a woman (and he looked like he is in his late teens, early 20's perhaps).....he could have spent that time learning to be social, atleast.....
Cause I few of my younger friend's have young brothers (like 16 or so) who are crazy good at guitarhero but are complete introverts...i mean, showing a chick you can play the guitar is one thing, its a skill....showing her you've spent tons of time learning to play a videogame isnt cool at all...imo atleast.
And at that age, its all about girls/women. Hell, at my age its still mostly about women lol

lol my bad, then it makes sense. Well, some sense (still, if he plays the drums, why would he bother with a stupid game?). Guys I know who play the guitar wont even touch guitar hero.
lol one time i was at a small house party and there were the adults and a couple of kids (16-18 year olds, younger brothers of ppl) and they were playing guitar hero and one of the kid's was really good and bragging. So this guy rocker guy went and got his guitar outta his car (had a small amp too) and listened to the songs they were "playing" then really did play them. Didnt say a word, just played the songs for real and put his guitar away. Suffice to say the kids felt dumb and stopped playing lol
But my point was about ppl like that in general. Alot of them dont play any instruments at all and spend hours and hours playing a fake guitar or whatever.
Its dumb. Learn a real insturment ffs ya know?

And, alot of kids consider playing guitar hero as the same as actually playing the guitar. My friend's younger brother, the one i mentioned who is really good....thats how I found out he was. He came up to me one time and said "hey, wanna hear me play some crazy songs on the guitar?". I was like "yeah, lets see what you can do"..he leads me to his room (my friend was snickering the whole time too, i thought cuz the kid sucked...) and loads up guitar hero and starts "playing" songs.
He's like "See man, Im awesome at the guitar"...I was like "bud, youre awesome at the game, but its not a real guitar...guitars dont have buttons and shit like that..." and he got all mad (and my friend was cracking up by then) and started bitching and kicked us out of his room...lol

because it's easier to play a fake guitar.. you get to that rewarding feeling when you do it well much quicker than you'd get it when learning to play a real guitar.
i wouldn't bother starting to learn to play a real guitar because i know it would take much more effort than i'd be willing to invest. lots of people are lazy |
i would. And really, playing the guitar isnt that hard if your reasonable. like your not gunna be able to crank out a crazy solo your first month of learning. Some ppl cant solo at all. Not everyone plays Lead guitar ya know? You need fast fingers/hands for that shit |
