there are a lot of people out there that can afford not to ever work. does acknowledging their existence depresses you every time ?
i know a guy who, when seeing on tv some dude on his yacht, or someone showing off their expensive new car, always complains that he can't have that too. he's just like a kid, crying when his mom doesn't buy him a certain toy that he just saw, and about which he'll forget anyway in 10 minutes.
this sort of stuff will never allow someone to be content with what he has, or where he lives, or any other aspect of his life, because there'll always be someone who has it better.
and no, i'm not saying you shouldn't have any ambition. i'm saying you should be a bit more objective about you expect out of life.

Thats why i stopped watching Criss Angel...a) he's to much of a flashy fuck b) he has a god complex (ie the walking on water ep from this season...like fuck, put a robe on him and he would look like a stereotypical picture of jesus...and thats the only ep or interview etc ive ever seen him in where he has a big fuckin bushy beard).
