He has nothing intelligent to say so he can elaborate.....I mean, everyone from 18-60 get tats. My dad got his first tat when he was 55

Strange, thought I had commented on this thread before...

Anyway, looking good, even tho I don't generally care much for color tattoos (and japanese style even less Razz). How do you feel it fits in with the rest of your tattoos?

Bigger is better! I'm getting a full back piece for my first tattoo, those chickenshit-sized tattoos people usually get are for wimps.

nice colors, not too bright but looks really vivid. although i gotta admit i like the grey part near the wrist the most. how the grey shadows overlap the flower, that's done really well.
i wish i wasn't such a poor coward and finally get a tattoo of my own ^^
(for me there's basically three things that keep me from doing it. 1) no money 2) too much fear 3) no idea what to get Very Happy)

when your tattoo is done, i'm pretty sure it's gonna look rad Smile
again looking forward to the next update

Thanks Smile
My only other tattoo is the one on my left forearm, it's all black though. It has four stars (representing the four other members of my family) with japanese-looking vines. So i think they look pretty good together.

The outlines hurt like fuck, so the coloring/shading wont be any different! Sad

Hehe yeah, i wanted more vivid colors, but shaded like they are and not just solid Smile The big lotus flower looks so awesome IRL.

But a tattoo shouldn't be rushed, and you should never pick an artist based on price, so it's better to wait! Smile

The artist is really important. You want someone skilled to do something perm on your body, somebody with a steady hand and a good vision of what something should look like for the client, in terms of art. For tat's you should have someone passionate and with long time experience. Sometimes age can be a factor when chosing a artist.

can but doesn't have to be. I mean there are alot of tattoo artists out there, following the old school that might be awesome at what they do - but ask them to do something like _SiN_ has and they're gonna fuck it up completely (if they even agree to do it)
the arist my brother goes to i.e., he's really good at all those japanese style tattoo's and he's rather good at fantasy tats (although he doesn't like doing those) - and the guy is 30 - and i wouldn't call that old.
(I mean, it's an age most women will never reach because women tend to decide to not get any older than 29 Wink )
then again i've seen bw potraits done by a 60-ish year old guy.
i think it's much more about personal preference and talent than age.
