Hi All!

I have a problem. I recently installed Acronis True Image Home 2009 and made a bootable clone disk so I could clone my old Vista drive to a new larger drive. Now I've used this clone software for about a year and never thought it would fuck up since it hasn’t with me so I reformatted the smaller drive BUT behold! Vista will not start up anymore. I used the Vista repair feature from the CD and it couldn’t find any Installs of Vista even though when the drive boots up it comes up with the Vista start menu where you can choose Safe mode etc. I had a look further and found out the Partition is Unknown to Windows XP and Vista so I thought there could have been a tool on the Acronis Clone CD to fix this problem but wasn’t, I did however see a File Explorer on there and I was able to see all my files etc. So somewhere while cloning Acronis made my drive into a partition that Windows doesnt or cant read.

Anyways enough of the chitter chatter is there any tools I could maybe use to try and fix this partition or has anyone else had this problem yet?

Thanks it advanced!

try a partition manager boot disk, like paragon or partition magic. then check for partiton problems, also check its cloned it and not copied it to a fat32 partition or something daft
